Serving up authentic, Mexican street fare, and a selection of over 100 tequilas and American whiskeys. Bakersfield is a spot where the food is simple, the service is warm and the atmosphere is alive.


We do offer a heated outdoor dining experience during the winter months. These tables are located in a covered and enclosed tent with heaters spread throughout. We recommend dressing warmly if the temperatures outside are below 40 degrees.

    The staff, food, and ambiance is excellent. There are several new items on the menu. The queso was very good. We had several of the tacos and all were tasty. The cochinita was very spicy which is what I was hoping for. We’ll definitely be back.

    My favorite margaritas, ever! We always try to stop in if we’re in Detroit for a show. Great tacos, and wonderful guacamole, really fresh tortilla chips. Wish I could get a pineapple margarita like that at home!

    Great location!!! Service was fantastic, food was phenomenal. Great recommendations from our waitress and the drinks are amazing. I loved everything about this place and I will be back.

    I have dined at Bakersfield several times, and it's always a good experience. This time, the service was slow, and the food was not as tasteful as it usually is. I'm a little surprised by that.

    Menu choices are unique and varied. Service at all levels is good. Nice experience 3rd time we have visited.

    Great food, fresh, warm, and served quickly. Suberb margaritas, I loved their seasonal Strawberry Rose but there are other good ones. The Roja salsa was the right level of spice, and the chips thin and warm...the taco's did not disappoint. Great flavor, thin and small tortilla with ample fillings and zest...something for everyone. Their half salad was excellent. My go to place for before a concert....Outstanding value in terms of price, and the old movies playing in the background are awesome.
