Serving up authentic, Mexican street fare, and a selection of over 100 tequilas and American whiskeys. Bakersfield is a spot where the food is simple, the service is warm and the atmosphere is alive.

We do offer a heated outdoor dining experience during the winter months. These tables are located in a covered and enclosed tent with heaters spread throughout. We recommend dressing warmly if the temperatures outside are below 40 degrees.

Been here before & it was great. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there & was bored with life. The potato taco was bad, the fish taco had no taste & the shredded pork taco was over salted.

My sister and I had a reservation that we were late for, due to the fact that the show we were at was running late. When we arrived at the restaurant, the employees at the hostess stand were very kind and welcomed us in. The food was great, we got street tacos, they were fantastic. They are small but packed full. 2 tacos, and chips and salsa weee plenty for us. You do have to pay for the chips and salsa. Fast service, overall great experience.

Love our waiter and food. So noisy can’t hear the people across from us. I’m not sure we will return. Just toooo loud.

Saturday night was very busy and very LOUD. We expected things to be slow with service and it was. 10-15 mins for our drinks. The food came out quickly and was very good. Small plates with a limited entree menu. It’s basically all tacos and small apps. It was responsibly priced which I appreciated due to the small plates. The service was good, not great. Overall, I would dine here again but likely not for a date night

The food was good. The ambiance was lively. They were understaffed in the bar. We sat down, ordered drinks, apps and entrees. Entrees came quickly. Apps came ~12 mins later. Drinks never came. I flagged down our waitperson twice and she said “the bar is backed up “ twice. We waited an hour total and never got drinks. She did offer to comp our drinks when they would eventually come, but we elected to cancel drinks and leave.

Cochinita pibil was too spicy, original Yucatán recipe with achiote is not spicy, if you want heat pickled habanero is served on the side. Pickled onions on carnitas? No. On the side? Yes. Short rib queso was good. I would call it dip, not queso. Tacos were great, margaritas awesome and the milanesa torta was exceptional.
