Serving up authentic, Mexican street fare, and a selection of over 100 tequilas and American whiskeys. Bakersfield is a spot where the food is simple, the service is warm and the atmosphere is alive.

We do offer a heated outdoor dining experience during the winter months. These tables are located in a covered and enclosed tent with heaters spread throughout. We recommend dressing warmly if the temperatures outside are below 40 degrees.

Stopped in here for dinner before the Lions game. Sat for 20 minutes without a server coming to the table. Flagged one down and he told us the kitchen wouldn’t have the bandwidth to get our food to us in a timely manner, which I appreciated the honesty. We just ordered chips and queso to have a quick snack before we had to go to the game. Chips and queso took over 15 minutes. Our actual server showed up and apologized for the confusion. Took our card to pay and asked us if we still wanted the queso that we ordered and had just paid for and we’re still waiting for. I can sympathize with the business and understand that but overall still a poor experience

Always go there before sports games downtown especially the Red Wings. The tacos are always great. Places always busy so get a reservation early. Weight staff is generally great.

Been here before & it was great. Our waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there & was bored with life. The potato taco was bad, the fish taco had no taste & the shredded pork taco was over salted.

My sister and I had a reservation that we were late for, due to the fact that the show we were at was running late. When we arrived at the restaurant, the employees at the hostess stand were very kind and welcomed us in. The food was great, we got street tacos, they were fantastic. They are small but packed full. 2 tacos, and chips and salsa weee plenty for us. You do have to pay for the chips and salsa. Fast service, overall great experience.

Love our waiter and food. So noisy can’t hear the people across from us. I’m not sure we will return. Just toooo loud.

Saturday night was very busy and very LOUD. We expected things to be slow with service and it was. 10-15 mins for our drinks. The food came out quickly and was very good. Small plates with a limited entree menu. It’s basically all tacos and small apps. It was responsibly priced which I appreciated due to the small plates. The service was good, not great. Overall, I would dine here again but likely not for a date night

The food was good. The ambiance was lively. They were understaffed in the bar. We sat down, ordered drinks, apps and entrees. Entrees came quickly. Apps came ~12 mins later. Drinks never came. I flagged down our waitperson twice and she said “the bar is backed up “ twice. We waited an hour total and never got drinks. She did offer to comp our drinks when they would eventually come, but we elected to cancel drinks and leave.
