The elegant Tapestry Restaurant at Bailiffscourt Hotel with its medieval architecture, mullioned windows and tapestry-hung walls offers the perfect venue for a relaxing lunch or a romantic dinner.

Our Head Chef, Russell Williams who has worked with such notable chefs as Nico Ladenis, has created a menu of modern English cuisine that includes a fresh new interpretation of classic dishes.
During the summer months our rose-clad Courtyard provides an attractive and informal setting for light lunches and traditional afternoon teas.

Lovely restuarant in what looks like a medieval hall. Asparagus starter followed with venison Wellington. Cheese to finish. Nice bottle of Fleurie. Drinks outside to start. Highly recommended.

My husband and I took my mother for her 87th birthday. Whilst the main courses were very good, the starters and deserts were very average ( more like a Cote set menu). Also please note that if you are booking on ‘open table’ be warned that the set lunch menu advertised on there for 3 courses is no longer £28.50 but has risen 30% to £37! Also, a lot of the dishes have a supplement added to them. We had a good lunch but definitely NOT amazing -our bill came to £233 (wine £56). This seemed VERY expensive.

Overall the experience was good. However I had a £12 glass of Rose which was virtually undrinkable. Having presented a discount voucher at the start of the meal, it was not subtracted at the end of the meal, which was irritating. The service was excellent, the ambience was good, the wine was poor at best. The food however was good, but even with a £20 reduction an overall cost of £84 was probably not enough to entice me back soon.

My friend and I had a really lovely time. We were attended to very promptly & our orders served efficiently. The food was delicious and I had a mocktail which I thoroughly enjoyed. The area we sat in was comfortable and the noise level was fine. I cannot find fault with anything.

Overall we had a lovely evening. Its a tad pricey food wise, but it was a special occasion. It was very hard to get hold of a cab home, so I would suggest pre booking one if you aren’t a hotel guest. Beautifully surroundings and very atmospheric inside .

Every interaction I had with the staff was 10/10. Food was beautifully presented but I found the soup to be lukewarm and my pork main was cold. Overall very happy, but I do not think it’s worth £64pp.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our first evening at Baillifscourt. Excellent in every way. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the Gents loo was difficult to find and quite a long way from the main dining room. Loved it, we'll be going again.
