BackDoor Bistro and Wine Bar focuses on sustainable, ethically sourced cuisine. Local farms produce as much as possible of the produce and ingredients for BackDoor Bistro. Its menu changes seasonally for varied options that change with the seasons and the bounty of surrounding farms. This restaurant also offers local beer, wine and artisanal cocktails for delightful pairings.

Guests can start their meals with bites and appetizers like the Polenta Fries with Cilantro Lime Crema, the Crispy Thai Brussels Sprouts. or the Seasonal Seared Spanish Octopus. They can then move onto the crowd-pleasing Stempler Creek Beef Burger, the Coconut Lime Bouillabaisse, or the hearty Southern Style Fried Chicken which is served Tuesday-Thursday nights.

The gorgeous patio is surrounded by plant life and set aside a bustling courtyard. The dining room is charming yet elegant. BackDoor Bistro has been voted best spot for a date night for many years for a reason!

The food was amazing - 10/10. We ordered the lamb sliders, duck carnitas tacos, and flank steak with mushroom risotto. The Brussel sprouts were the best I’ve ever had. Service was great! Overall one of the better meals I’ve had in awhile! Would go back again to try brunch.

always yummy and good service. only downside is noise level inside, but probably nothing they can do about it. always my go-to Vacaville establishment!!

Overall it’s a nice establishment in a cute part of town. We had plenty of parking and were seated right way. We did have reservations, but they were moving folks in and out nicely. The waiter forgot our appetizers, but that was OK. We are enjoying our conversation. Burger was cooked perfectly and was enjoyed. Steak salad was good but a little drenched in dressing. Asked for the dressing on the side lemon cheesecake was outstanding. All in all I would return if I was back in the area,

On the all day menu, the food was good! Burger excellent, tacos good, lamb sliders, not so good…thin burger on three or 4 inches of focaccia bread, way too much bread and difficult to bite into. Margaritas are very good. Service a bit inattentive.

The food was decent. We went for brunch. The price was expensive for eggs . 2 people dined and the bill was $77.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! We found it a couple of weeks ago on our way back from Tahoe, and we just had to go back again today! The food is so fresh, and obviously crafted with love! Don’t miss out on the amazing crispy, brussels sprouts, or the polenta fries! So delicious! The burger is to die for, and don’t forget the bacon! We tried the soup of the day today, a creamy carrot, and it was out of this world! I love the wine selection, and the fact that there’s a full bar! I don’t think you can go wrong whether you go with a simple sandwich, or try some thing a little fancier! We will definitely be back! 😋🫶🏻🤗

Always an amazing time at BackDoor Bistro. The entrees are very well put together and provide an upscale dining experience without having to travel to a big city.

First time in this venue but long time fan of Backdoor Bistro. Everything was great for brunch except for ratio of potatoes to Canadian bacon in Eggs Benedict was far too unbalanced with only a few very thin chips of bacon. However e’ll be back soon to sample other choices.
