My meal (the curried meatloaf) was very tasty, the service was quick, and the noise level was subdued. This was on a Sunday evening around 5:45-7:00. Luckily no big shows let out at one of the nearby theaters just before we got there. Our party arrived early, but they were able to seat us expeditiously.

The service I received was not good. My server was slow in bringing my pot of tea. He never checked on me or asked to refill my water. The restaurant was not that crowded and there were plenty of servers. I was there in June on the day the Celtics had their victory parade and received better service. I am not sure if the service was subpar due to the fact I was dining alone. I was also dining alone in June. I will not let this experience deter me from visiting Back Deck again. I like the food and atmosphere.

My family and I enjoyed our overall dinner experience at Back Deck. We visit Boston often since our son goes to college here. Back Deck is a great choice for healthier fare, since they grill their food. I suggest the salmon, pulled pork tacos, or grilled chicken dishes. The restaurant is located near The Paramount and AMC Theatres making it a great place for dinner before a show! Cozy, family friendly vibe.

A favorite for a theater night. The staff are expert at quick and attentive service to ensure you'll be on-time. The food has always been very good - some recognizable New England stalwarts, but all offerings have a special and delicious twist. The drinks menu has been fun to sample across our muktiple visits. A new dessert, the grilled pineapple sundae, was a lovely end to our latest dining experience, as well.

Fiery chicken tenders…chicken was cooked well/tender had good flavor but certainly no heat to match description. Pork tacos, rice and beans, grilled quesadilla, Thai chicken salad were all cooked well and delicious. Good prices and service was good. We went at 3:30, very quiet and not very busy. Oddly very “squished” feeling as tables are too close together despite being a non busy time. Wish the windows were open on such a beautiful warm fall day.

Decent food. Lived up to expectations. We were in and out fairly quickly which was what we wanted.

We were early for our reservation. The hostess was very gracious and said she would get us in early. Mind you this was brunch before a matinee. French toast unbelievable!

I know that the review looks like it was wonderful but we were there before a play and told the waitress what time we had to be out. The brunch came out after 30 minutes(still within our window) except for the meal for our 92 year old friend was wrong. After they took her meal ( a veggie omelet), they said they would be right back. No one came back, finally at 12:30 I found the manager, who told us she and the waitress did not know what the expediter did. And assured us we did not have to pay for HER meal. Her omelet came at 12:30. That was the time we needed to leave. They took it off the bill but our friend had to eat really fast . It was stressful for everyone, especially for the 92 year old woman. Good food but I will not make reservations again at this restaurant.
