I don’t usually write negative reviews, but my time here was ridiculous. It started off ok, we arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and we were sat immediately. We were seated at a two top next to a wall with rock/tree decor and there were gnats or fruit flies flying about. out waiter took our order, a plain cheeseburger, just cheese well done and the mushroom bacon burger, medium. My daughter and I sat and sat. We did get our drinks but nothing after that. Finally after 30 minutes our waiter was like wait you haven’t gotten your food yet? He went to check and came back 5-10 minutes later asking for our orders again. Apparently the kitchen never got them. He did apologize, but did nothing more than refill our drinks and offer to bring the check since we were going to a show. Finally, after 45 minutes our food came out. My daughter’s plain burger had all the toppings on it and my burger was well done with two slabs of bacon thrown on top. The steak fries were over cooked and tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed in a long time. Our check was brought to us wi5 no compensation. No I didn’t speak up because after sitting amongst the gnats for an hour, we just wanted out of there and to get to our show.

Very busy and seating was jammed in together. Food was average. Service was good.

We had reserved a table at the rear of the restaurant so that it would be quieter. We arrived early, and were seated immediately, but were told a table was not available in the rear. We offered to wait and was told that there would not be one available. Additionally, the server was good, at best, and seemed very harried,

The staff was genuinely nice and the food tasty; however it’s “little things”. I ordered soup, a burger and a side. I asked for the soup to be delivered as an appetizer. The server confirmed it but never entered it into the computer and his error discovered when the main course arrived. It was busy and drink refills were slow. I was a table of one. I go to the Back Deck every time I’m in Boston. This was my first less than stellar experience.

Great service, good food - not a ton of selection but very good regardless. Perfect for theater nights.

Overpriced food for a Boston location near downtown I get, but when there's no AC. Man, it just wasn't worth our time. Nonetheless, our server whose name I forget (Sorry!) was incredible. I felt bad she was working in such heat.

Waitstaff seemed annoyed to be there. Served salad without dressing- would’ve followed up and asked for some but waitress never returned until is she brought the check.

No A/C on a 95-degree day and just average food. Lackluster. Not worth the price in Boston’s theater district, among many exceptional restaurants.
