The summer menu is lack luster. There are no options but pretty much only some simple pasta options, pizza and 1 meat option. . We had been there a few weeks ago and had a good experience and had lots to choose from. I didnt bother to review the menu before booking a reservation for Father's day. We went on Father's Day and they had no meat options but chicken parmesan. The caeser salad was tasteless even after they put the chicken on it that they had forgotten about. The chicken was old tasting dark meat shreds and the dressing had no flavour. The kids pasta was on served on a small side plate, even though it tasted good, the portion was ridiculously small for a 9 year old. It would be ok for a 5 year old if that. We had to order 2 servings as my son was still hungry. We were charged 2 kids meals for this which included a drink and ice cream which my son only got one of. They had 2 dessert choices for adults which were basically the same thing tiramisu and a berry tiramisu which we skipped. To accompany the tasteless Caeser salad, we ordered a pizza and a side of vegetables. The pizza was really good however the $10 side of vegetables was pricy for what it was. We received 2 skinny sprigs of rapini, 3 skinny carrots and a quarter of a red pepper on a small side plate. The service was good and attentive. When I asked about where the other meat options were she apologized and expressed that management wanted a lighter menu for the summer. To me, it just really feels like they are really cheaping out on their menu. I will only go back if I feel like pizza, nothing else.

Nice place, food was ok, tasted a little burnt. Wished there was some bread or something brought to the table before main course. Overall, it was nice, we are from our of town and tried something new.

We had dined here in February and again in April and really enjoyed our meals and recommended Baci to others. However our visit was not as good. We were disappointed to see a number of items we had enjoyed in the past were no longer on the menu like the Arancini balls, risotto and veal. The menu had changed drastically. The food we had this time was not as good. The gnocchi we had in April was fluffy and melted in our mouths. This time it felt like it had come out of a package. The lobster ravioli had no lobster and the calamari was tough. I'm not sure if the the chef had an off night or if he/she had lowered the standard? The only dessert option was tiramisu which was actually quite good. The ambiance and service remained exceptional like it had in our two previous visits. But overall, our food experience was not the same and sadly we'll be in no hurry to return.

We had a very nice dinner at Baci restaurante. The food was excellent. The server was excellent. He made sure that we were satisfied with everything and wanted to make sure that at the end of the night, that we enjoyed the evening. The ambiance is just perfect. The prices are reasonable. Would recommend this for a nice dinner evening.

Reservation made a couple of weeks ago based on their online menu which had a varied typical Italian menu. We purposely chose this restaurant over other Italian restaurants because the ambience looked nice, menu was not nouvre Italian, cost was above normal which was fine because of the options. When we arrived the menu was very limited and had apparently just changed a week ago. The pastas were pretty basic with no options to add a protein like meatballs, sausage, etc. the Arrabiatti was tasty, the Vodka penne tasty, the olive oil and garlic rigatoni was very boring. It just looked liked a bowl of cooked rigatoni with no effort to enhance the appearance with perhaps some parsley. The bruschetta was perhaps an effort to make a Baci signature appetizer. The result was a decant three pieces of toast, topped with melted ricotta, roasted whole tomatoes, drenched in pesto and olive oil. Too rich to eat. There was only one “Secondi” option .. Chicken Parmesan. No other meats or fish were on the menu. There was, of the very limited Appetizer menu, the option to add chicken or a salmon filet, you could not have a side of chicken or salmon with your pasta, it only came with a salad. The Tiramisu was the saviour. Apparently one of the few things they made in house. Guest at table beside us were heard to say, this isn’t the menu online. The problem is the restaurant is located in Carmen’s hotel and banquet centre. It is isolated and quite far from downtown Hamilton. If you are staying at the hotel there are no other restaurants you can simply walk to. For a family this would be an over priced limited menu, with the exception of pizza which was baked in an open stone fire oven. There was one server and she did an excellent job keeping all the tables well attended to. Overall, if you know what to expect then it might be enjoyable, but there were limited classic Italian options. A disappointment for this client (party of three).
