    We had a wonderful dinner at Baccala on Saturday evening. The grilled octopus starter with aubergine and peppers was simply wonderful as were the our main courses. Especially the monkfish was beautifully cooked , moist and tasty. Our desserts were equally delicious, fresh Amalfi lemon sorbet and lovely Tiramisu (which was huge! More suited to be shared). Very attentive and friendly service.

    The wines were particularly expensive, with many of the marginally lower priced bottles being out of stock but it was nevertheless an enjoyable meal.

    Our second trip to Baccala, this time with friends. We got a warm welcome and a helpful explanation of the menu. It was different to last time (dinner) as we were having lunch, but still varied and interesting. Food arrives freshly cooked and is delicious. The wine list is interesting with a good range of wines and prices.

    Really nice restaurant. Service was attentive and friendly. Food was very tasty and good portions. I had the octopus for starter and Monkfish for main.

    Bustling little venue with a well-thought out menu and an excellent wine selection. The food was great (simple, well-presented and very fresh ingredients) and the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. The 'stand out' dish for me was the bread and olive oil....the sourdough and flat bread were lovely but the little dishes of new season EVOO were absolutely fabulous. I'll definitely be returning when next in Bermondsey!
