Bab-Al-Yemen is not only a restaurant where you could find authentic Yemeni cuisine, but it is a unique experience designed to serve as a hub of Yemeni culture in the city of Boston. Named after a well-known historical landmark of Yemen, Bab-Al-Yemen serves dishes cooked in accordance with traditional Yemeni recipes using high quality ingredients.

Yemeni food is highly regarded in the Middle East for its rich flavors. Some of the staples are lamb mendi, haneeth with rice, and fahsa with freshly-baked bread. Bab-Al-Yemen is located in Kenmore Square and warmly welcomes each guest to discover and appreciate its food and hospitality.

Great food and very nice atmosphere. Service was very slow but I think it was just a one off today. They did a great job serving other tables but I don’t think we had an assigned server and had to sit awhile until they took our order after our appetizer.

They won’t tell you, but the tip is already included regardless of your party and the owners don’t give the extra tip you leave to the wait staff. Also, they were not friendly to women! At all.

Meh. Great bread, chaotic feeling, 3x interrupted by earsplitting piped in happy birthday music. Chicken dishes tasty but overcooked. Falafel so hard you needed a knife (which wasn't on the table, only fork and spoon). "Salad" was a little cabbage and carrot with forgettable dressing. Prices not bad for very large portions, but nothing charming. My co-diners liked it a little better than I did, but I won't be going back.

We had an excellent experience tonight! Food was delicious, the service was exceptional, we felt like we were in their home and being treated truly like their guests! Brilliant atmosphere and delicious food! We will certainly be back!

Wonderful service. Everything we ordered was delicious and full of flavor. We got the eggplant dip, falafel, homemade bread, lamb stew, lamb haneeth, and chicken with rice.

Tasty food and nice atmosphere with attentive service. Vegetarian options are good and the servings are plentiful. Fresh baked bread is delicious
