Bab-Al-Yemen is not only a restaurant where you could find authentic Yemeni cuisine, but it is a unique experience designed to serve as a hub of Yemeni culture in the city of Boston. Named after a well-known historical landmark of Yemen, Bab-Al-Yemen serves dishes cooked in accordance with traditional Yemeni recipes using high quality ingredients.

Great food and service. The menu selection was small but everything we ordered was high quality and tasty. The result of a smaller menu selection is that your meal will arrive at your table quickly. Atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Perfect choice for a memorable meal before the game or concert - in and out in 30 minutes!

Thé food here is just beyond amazing. As an Arab man who misses the cuisine I am beyond happy to finally being able to have an authentic Arab restaurant in Boston area. The service is friendly and welcoming, tables are close to each other but the noise level is quiet- table next to us was just as amazed with the food that they made a reservation for the next day so they can try other plates. 100% would recommend.

I'm always in search of great hummus and falafael in Boston, and this place disappointed me, but the stews looked great, so maybe that's their speciality. It's a very cozy and cool interior, so I would recommend it on it's vibe. The server was good, a little confusing, hard to describe, but he was coming from a good place. It's ok for a good cheap eat, but wouldn't return.

WOW! What flavorful, delicious, and satisfying meals! I have never been to a Yemeni restaurant before, so we thought we would give Bab-Al-Yemen a try while on a visit to Boston. We were greeted warmly at the door and seated at a cozy table. Our server helped us decide which of the many tasty sounding lamb dishes to try. I got the stew and it was so full of flavor and spiced perfectly. My husband got a lamb shank, which came with fragrant rice. Delish! The bread was warm, puffy, and mopped up all the wonderful juices from the lamb stew. We had plenty of food and gladly took home some leftovers. Everything was perfect and at a very affordable price. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Boston.

Maybe it wasn't what I was expecting. The food feels blanded and no taste. I was expecting a lot of aromas but I am not getting any of it. The waiter did try to make it right and offer us hot sauce and another cut of meat. He say I should feel honey and nutty flavours but my wife and I don't taste anything. The slow cook lamb itself is not bad and I don't taste any musty or gamey flavours.
