Sehr gemütliches familiäres Restaurant, ruhig gelegen im Frankfurter Westend. Sehr herzliche Bedienung, uns wurde die Karte auf einer handgeschriebenen Tafel vom Kellner vorgestellt und erläutert. Tolles italienisches Essen und Ambiente, wie im Italien-Urlaub. Wir werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen.

First, on a positive note, the food was exceptional, but unfortunately that is where my positive review ends. I have to say this is the worst service I have ever had in my life. It started well, with our waiter Massimo in good spirits and quite attentive, but the problems began when we ordered some beer for 3 of the guests and a non-alcoholic drink for 1 of the others. After several polite reminders from us we received our beer after around 1 hour. It seemed like they were trying to tell us we shouldn't drink beer, only (very expensive) wine, even more expensive than in London. We tried to order another beer and a non-alcoholic drink from 3 different waiters, but after another hour I had to go directly to the kitchen to ask what the problem was. Apparently, they had run out of beer the previous night, but instead of telling us this (we would have been disappointed, but understanding), they just kept saying it would come. The non-alcoholic drink never arrived, even after 2 hours, so I was forced to take a bottle of water from another table so our guest didn't die of thirst!! Finally, I asked for the bill, 2 Limoncello and 1 Espresso. 45 minutes later I was forced again go to the kitchen/waiter area to tell them that we were leaving in 4 minutes as our Uber was about to arrive. Strangely they immediately provided the drinks and a couple of minutes later, the bill. There were several mistakes on the bill, which I tried to question, but finally gave up as my stress levels were going through the roof. We were charged for 9 beers (we got 3) and 6 bottles of water (€9.50 each!), we only received 4. There was a table of 20 next to us, who arrived at least 30 minutes after us, but somehow managed to get out around 1 hour before us! All in all, our 'experience' lasted 4 hours. Finally, they cancelled my booking after we’d been there so I couldn’t leave a review, but after contacting OpenTable I was able to do this to inform potential diners. My advice, go somewhere else!

Leider mussten wir trotz Kälte draußen unter einer Plastikplane sitzen, wo es sehr hell und laut war. Es gab Heizstrahler, jedoch hatten wir das Restaurant aufgrund des Charmes des Innenrestaurants gebucht. Drinnen ist gedämmtes Licht und es läuft italienische Musik. Der Service war uns gegenüber nicht aufmerksam und wir haben zuerst die Speisekarte, die sich auf einer Kreidetafel befindet, hingestellt bekommen und niemand hat etwas gesagt und die Servicekräfte sind direkt gegangen. Unser bestelltes Wasser kam auf Nachfrage nach 45 min. Der Tisch mit fünf Personen neben uns kam deutlich später und hatte zuerst das Essen serviert bekommen. Die Gerichte sind nicht günstig und dafür war die gesamte Erfahrung leider nicht sehr schön für uns. Wir werden nicht mehr kommen.

We sat outside. Beautiful. The service is good and the food is excellent. The only thing is that it took a very long time for meals to arrive. So we should have that expectation. Not entirely sure of the system but a reservation is recommended. Some people (not us) were told "no" at the front reception (the table was wide open inside), and then they went online to make a reservation and came back to be allowed to come in.

Essen war sehr lecker und preislich auch vollkommen in Ordnung. Der Service war okay, aber ausbaufähig.

Looked like servers were overloaded (two for all tables, one of them seemed to be trained) so was hard to get attention. Had to wait very long for our food. At some point the pasta we didn’t order was placed at the table right in front of a baby and she burnt her hand on it as we didn’t manage to remove it fast enough. To our comment that we did not order this response was “I know” and the dish was removed. When we wanted to cancel main dishes (at 9pm, while ordered them at 7) as it was getting late and the baby started to cry and bother everyone around we were told it’s impossible. The food was rather mediocre, restaurant is quite charming. All of the awards displayed are for 2015-2019, probably that’s when it was a nice place to go to.
