                                                                                                      For what is a relatively recent opening on Sloane Avenue, and wonderful interiors and live music, the service and food quality was well below expectations. The waitress we had could not have made our experience more uncomfortable - always interrupting, was clearly not experienced in service aside from being very aggressive and forward. Her version of talking us through the menu was pointing at the section of each menu and reading out the section head. The sommelier was mute and just looked over us, and the other staff didn’t seem to gel - aside from the cocktail guys who seemed to be having a great time between themselves behind the bar. The live music was five stars though. A Thursday evening dinner and we were being asked to move on from 9:30pm onwards - the restaurant was less than a third full.

                                                                                                      excellent food and great location and decoration unfortunately we spent a lot of time showing to the PIC our reservation from open table They insisted that they did not have it. The restaurant was not full so we got a table but never any acknowledgment that we had a valid reservation. We had both my wife and i starters and main . we were told that we could not bring back with us half a pizza out of the two we ordered and half a chicken milanaise. we tried to insist as this was our food we paid for. we will investigate if that refusal to let us take our own food is even legal

                                                                                                      This was my 4th time at Azzuro. First two visits several months ago were good. Last two more recently were poor. Main problem is service. Took 3.5 hours for a 3course dinner of 4. Waited 45 minutes between starters and main course. Most food was good but linguine with crab was lousy. Despite cool interior totally disappointing experience. Unacceptable at that price level.
