Everything on the menu is delicious! Wonderful flavors, creative combinations, and beautiful tribute to Middle-Eastern cuisine. The Basteeya is a must! And the cornbread is divine!

Aziza is always a great experience. Last night was exceptional from service to food to drinks. The flavors of the food are unique and melded together beautifully. One of the Top 5 restaurants in SF!

Aside from the pancakes, which were amazing — thin yet fluffy, with tiny craters where butter and maple syrup wait to delight you— Aziza was a *giant* disappointment. We arrived a few mins early for our 12:30 lunch reservation on a Saturday. There were 7 open tables, yet the staff made us wait at the desk while they “prepared our table” and, after 15 mins, sat us at what was probably the worst table in the dining room— at the very back, directly in front of the servers’ station. Soft scrambled eggs were dry and crumbly, but the salmon Eggs Benedict was fine as was the prawns with polenta. But the manager—I guess, since he didn’t introduce himself when he came to our table as our dishes were being cleared — put a nail in the Aziza coffin when he told us, at 1:23, not even an hour after our reservation, that the next guests had arrived, so we would need to vacate. We weren’t even offered coffee or tea. Mistakes in the kitchen like dry scrambled eggs can be forgiven, but falling down on the basics of hospitality is unforgivable.

The cauliflower was an amazing combination of tastes and texture. Our server recommended the delicious cornbread as a side and did not disappoint. Despite being smaller than expected, the basteeya was tasty in its wonderfully flaky shell, but probably a fine portion for one person (we ate family style). The braised lamb shank fell off the bone and rounded out our meal. Don't forget to try the imaginative non-alcoholic drinks and date cake (not too sweet). They warn you in advance about the 6% SF Health surcharge.

I made a reservation here about 1.5-2 weeks before for my birthday. When I arrived, I was about 8 mins early and was rudely welcomed by a shorter gentleman who aggressively told me I couldn’t be seated until my entire party was there. I kindly informed him that everyone was running late and he abruptly told me I would lose the table if everyone didn’t arrive and he would have to give it to the next party of 6 who would magically arrive. He told me to wait at the bar. I was so disappointed in his interaction with me. Didn’t offer any solutions, and honestly made and my second guest who arrived feeling so terrible when we had come to celebrate my birthday. I will not go back because of this encounter. The service of the real staff was great and the food was fine but this simple interaction just ruined my entire night. Shame on you gentleman host and perhaps learn some lessons in etiquette before treating your patrons with such disrespect.

It’s my second time here in less than a month! I don’t know why I haven’t been here before! The food is delicious! We had the spreads, little gem salad, mussels, salmon, and the branzino! All were stellar! We loved the casual and warm ambience. It’s truly a special restaurant and I can’t wait to come back!

Impeccable in every way. We went for brunch to celebrate a birthday and it surpassed our expectations. The French toast was a definite highlight, but everything was delicious. The service was perfection. Looking forward to returning.

We didn’t get our table until 30 minutes after our reservation was for. Food was ok, but definitely not as good as it used to be. Never got plates with our dessert, and service was not great. This place feels like it’s going downhill.

White wine needs to be properly chilled and a proper ice bucket to keep at temperature. Branzino was excellent but salmon sauce too rich and overwhelmed the fish. Salmon inside the bowl is not a great presentation and presents challenges to eat.
