Azafran is a delightful restaurant with a seasonal menu in addition to their a la carte. We opted for the summer tasting menu with three course all with paired wines. They were all delicious and superbly paired with the wines. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone interested in great food and excellent service.

We were so fortunate to find this restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff were amazing and friendly. From the drinks, to appetizers, to entrees, to dessert OUTSTANDING! I was looking forward to the short ribs and was thrilled with the dish. If you find yourself in Puerto Vallarta, you must give this restaurant a try. Absolutely DELICIOUS!

The duck breast was so incredibly delicious. The service The best. Nico such a good waiter. Ice cream and gelato tasted so fresh. Love this restaurant.

Everything we ate was delicious! Figs with goal cheese and pumpkin ravioli were the standouts. Great service, too.

I think I can call this the most amazing experience in a restaurant I've ever had, we knew it was gonna be a great place, but it just surpassed our expectations, the ingredients we're amazing, everything was cooked to perfection, the freshness, the quality, the service from Nico was amazing, super knowledgeable and so kind, it was truly an amazing night that I we will not forget. We will be back for sure

We returned after discovering this restaurant a few nights ago. This time we ordered from the menu instead of the 3 course meal. Once again, it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. We will certainly return when we visit Puerto Vallarta next time.

What an unexpected treat! I use OpenTable when I come down to Puerto Vallarta since I am not familiar with the different restaurants, but Azafran was an incredible find. We tried the 3 course meal and it did not disappoint. Often, when doing a “course” meal, I am limited to what I can choose. I selected the Cucumber-Tamarind Salad, chose the salmon for my entree and the glazed fig for dessert. Each dish had layers of flavors and textures that were unexpected but thoroughly enjoyed. The risotto that was part of the entree was not available but we were given two excellent choices: a spinach asparagus salad or potato croquettes. These sound simple but they did not replace the risotto but was a well executed side replacement prepared with care. What made the meal even better was the staff. Attention to detail at this level was something I rarely experience. It was certainly teamwork and not just one person waiting on a table. I have paid way more for less in quality of food and service in other establishments. How much did I like it? We’ll be back before our stay is over. And we will be back on our next trip to Puerto Vallarta.

Wonderful food and service. It was husband’s birthday and they made it memorable with a chocolate lava cake and candle. The bass and salmon were incredible. The house wine was great and reasonably priced. Can’t recommend it enough!!!

Azafran is a comfortable space with consistently great service and food. I only wish, which goes for other restaurants as well, is that I would like to see occasional changes to the menu.
