With rich, dark green walls, elaborate décor and plush banquette seating, Ayllu is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant serving contemporary sharing plates, sushi and innovative cocktails.

The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.

Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

The service absolutely awful - amongst the worst I have ever experienced! Very understaffed (apparently all the waiters had quit/ not showed except for one waitress and the manager, who left early leaving just the poor waitress for the whole restaurant). It was therefore IMPOSSIBLE to get the attention of staff to order food and drinks and even the bill! We got up to leave and then the staff magically appeared to ask for payment! The bar closed early without telling us/ calling for last orders and then refused us a final glass of wine (it was about 10.30 and there were many people still there eating), so well before normal closing times. Food was average at best in terms of quality and arrived cold - not supposed to be cold, they were supposedly hot dishes but had been sitting out until they were cold! The fish dish was "OK" other than being cold but it appeared to be covered in ketchup - not a proper sauce. The beef was ok, but the leeks were raw and tasteless. Also came with what seemed to be ketchup. Either they are using ketchup instead of sauce or there was an accident with the sugar...either way, I don't think the fish dish and the beef should have the same hyper sweet sauce?? Overall, a very inferior dining experience and would not even consider recommending this restaurant to anyone - avoid at all costs! There are other places to eat in the area. and pretty much anywhere should be better than this.

Everything about our experience was fabulous. The ambience, vibe, music and energy! The food, drinks and service brilliant and delicious. Will definitely be returning.

We had a great time and ate loads of delicious food - everything tasted amazing! The staff were so helpful and friendly too

Had an amazing bottomless brunch experience. The staffs were extremely accommodating. We ran late due to train issues and they were very understanding. There was an excellent options of food to choose from and the portions were perfect as you could try everything in the menu without feeling too full or overwhelmed. We had a lovely lady Morella serving us, she was very friendly, welcoming & professional. She made the experience even better! The ladies who performed Samba dance was cherry on top! I would say the music was way too loud as I could not hear my friends when we were having a conversation.

Except for the food, everything else is just acceptable. Poor service, 1 hour to serve the drink, need to call the waiter three times even when the restaurant is half empty. Walk away!

Let me start by saying that when we got to the host stand, she looked like she could care less whether we lived or died. Then they sat at the table and no one came to help us or even give us water for a total of 25 minutes. Finally after flagging them down, we ordered our food and it came out 50 minutes after that. However, the entire food order was wrong. They corrected it and brought some items out however it was until one hour later when we reminded them that some of the food had not come out that they sighed aloud and finally went to go make it. Needless to say we were extremely tired by then and just unsatisfied with the overall experience. The waiter came out and said hey “I’m not a superhero.” I said I don’t need a superhero. They acted like they were doing us a favor the whole night. Would never go back. All the tables around us were dissatisfied with the service and three tables around us had issues with their incorrect bill.

good food but expensive and very small portions not clearly described in the pictures or menu. So unfortunately not value for money.

We got the Cuzco tasting menu x2 and the quality was great however you basically share the plates with the other person you got the menu with. I was expecting that each person was getting their own tasting plate instead of sharing, especially based on the quantity of huramaki and churros, or the size of the tacos. Must say that the Black cod was amazing!

Great great food, the staff was amazing very attentive and accommodating. The dancers were lovely, created a fantastic atmosphere. My only issue was when the dancers had left the music was still way too loud. I could barely hear my partner speak for the majority of dinner. Easy fix, will be back and would recommend
