Escape the chaos of city life and enter a social haven of comfort and warmth in the heart of Paddington, London. With rich, dark green walls, elaborate décor and plush banquette seating, Ayllu is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant serving contemporary sharing plates, sushi and innovative cocktails.

The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.

Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

The service was slow and it was really hard to get anyone's attention to order food and the staff was bearly visible on the floor. The only positive was the food.

We were here for Lunch, food only. I had the cuba mocktails, was really nice. The dancer was great! I could recommend to friends and family.

Not really a true tasting menu but a set menu. Noise level far too high. A pointless DJ in a world of her own playing loud music to the dismay of many clients. Wrong ambience

You want great rolls, sushi/sashimi, great service or just fresh fish this is the place for you. Really Great place hidden in plain Paddinton area by the canal, very close to the Lisson gallery place. Nice bar environment upstairs as well. Been going here for years and stands up well over time. I always look to get back here when I’m in the neighborhood. Great for families, couples or gatherings with friends.

We loved everything we ordered - beef crocquettes were lightly fried to perfection, The Chicken Bund was soft and juicy, the Califonia rolls and Soft crab shell rolls were outstanding. This is a very casual & small restaurant in Paddington with great service and very reasonable prices. They serve great wines as well.

Went here on a date about thirty minutes before this place closed and I was so happy that they seated us promptly, we weren't rushed, and service was great. I got the salmon and california roll, crispy tuna and salad and it was delicious! I came on a Tuesday night and it was a little busy so reccomend to book in advance. The service was prompt from Morella and she was nice-enhanced the experience. Great place in Paddinton.

My husband and I both had tasting menu. It was very good. Service was fast. It’s a small place so it’s a little cramped, but we didn’t mind. It was also very well decorated and beautifully dimmed lights. Food its incredible and mist important very affordable. We are planning to go back with some friends.

Fantastic food and great service. I highly recommend the tempura roll! The 5 course menu was the perfect amount of food. Everytime my girlfriend and I visit London we have to get sushi from Ayllu - it's non-negotiable. If there's one place you want to get good, authentic, and affordable sushi in Central London it's most definitely here. They have a wide selection of incredible Japanese cuisine and even though I've gone here lots of times already, I feel like there's always something new to try. Great!!

Great south American/Japanese restaurant in Paddington Basin, as soon as we walked in we felt like at home, great service from Azamat, great recommendations, we had the Ayllu platter and it was incredibly good and you could taste the freshness of the food. This is a great restaurant with great prices too. Will be back soon!
