Escape the chaos of city life and enter a social haven of comfort and warmth in the heart of Paddington, Central London. With rich, dark green walls, elaborate décor and plush banquette seating, Ayllu is a Japanese-Peruvian fusion restaurant serving contemporary sharing plates, sushi and innovative cocktails.

The cosy restaurant is built around the traditions of the Ayllu community of the Inca Empire. The Ayllu was a group of families that lived together, worked the land together and shared their belongings and mealtimes, just like a large family. Much like the Incan civilisation, Ayllu is about the coming together of friends and families and taking time to share an experience of great food and innovative cocktails with loved ones.

Drawing on the inspiration of the Ayllu community, the menu consists of innovative small plates, designed for the whole table to share. Traditional Peruvian flavours are paired with Japanese influences, bringing fresh and zesty aromas to each dish.

Ayllu's Business Lunch Set Menus offer a delicious six-course dining experience, available Monday to Friday from 12 pm to 4 pm for just £29. Featuring a fusion of Peruvian and Japanese flavours, guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, including edamame, miso soup, and a choice of mains such as Lomo Saltado or Salmon Cazuela. There’s also a vegetarian menu with options like Mushroom Saltado or Udon Noodles. Starters / appetizers were good but meal was let down by the main courses which were served cold / lukewarm ( chicken, fish and beef). Service / waitress was excellent. All in all would not recommend or return.

perfect evening at Ayllu. not too loud (i hate shouting at dinner) and the lighting and ambience was wonderful. food was really really lovely, light, with a nice long menu of options. i have paid more for much worse meals and so every pound was more than worth it for the quality of the service, food, and the lovely cocktails. located centrally without being at all touristy. perfect!

This was an amazing experience with incredible food. Beef croquettes and crab tacos were the best by far, if you are looking for fine dining go no where further. Our waiter, Azamat was extremely attentive and friendly. Highly reccomend!

We were excited to come here and our excitement lasted throughout the meal, it was that good. We chose our own rather than opt for the fixed menu and the friendly waiter helped us choose. Every dish was exquisite. From sushis to tiraditos and squid tempura, all sooo great. The service was attentive and helpful without being overbearing, and the general feel was relaxed.

The food was so good !! Really 10/10 ! We started with amazing drinks and apertizers and we ended up the dinner with lots of sushis and boo buns! The service was so amazing and everyone friendly. The food was an explosion in our mouths.

Best japanese in town. They have great sushi and ceviches. And the best is to get served by the one and only Azamat, an amazing guy!
