Avli on The Park in Lakeshore East, a MICHELIN Guide recommendation, offers guests contemporary and classic Greek small plates, mains, and desserts as well as approachable Greek wines and inventive cocktails.

The space is designed to welcome groups of any size to celebrate in a festive and fun atmosphere in the main dining room and stylish rooftop terrace for dinner, lunch, and brunch! We look forward to having you in to experience Philoxenia (hospitality), Meraki (passion) and Kefi (joy).

the second time the greek salad was mediocre. This time it was drowning in salad dressing. Steak was okay. Lobster penne was also mediocre. Our waiter had a bad attitude and gave minimal attention to our table and to our needs. I want to love this place but I find it to be inconsistent and for the price that's unacceptable.

From the minute we walked in the door we had a wonderful evening. Wine, food, everything was wonderful. So glad we celebrated our anniversary here. It was acknowledged by our server and the bartender. Nice glass of champagne and a delicious cheesecake dessert. The ambiance of the restaurant is beautiful. Weather did not allow for rooftop dining but that is even more beautiful. Loved everything about our evening. Looking forward to going back soon.

We dined for brunch at Avli on Field on 9/22. Our server was also tending the bar. Service was so-so and attention erratic. Our server seemed more interested in what was going on behind the bar and chatting with his coworkers than being an attentive to our table. When our entree salads were served, we had to ask for the proteins we had ordered with them. The proteins came out five minutes later, and another five minutes after that our server finally brought the vinaigrette dressing that was supposed to come with the salads. When I asked him about the inKind app, he said “ I don’t know how to use it, I just started here.” I asked him if he could find somebody who knew how to use it. Not great service, and not great ambition by this staff member. Parking was also confusing.

Place was not busy but it took a while to get service! The waiter who finally served us was good.

One of the hostesses was unwelcoming and did not have knowledge of how the reservations are set up on this website; which downgraded the star rating. Another factor was the wait staff they were not very pleasant, which was disappointing. My friends order one of their steaks and it was cold. Their fish dishes were delicious. The person that recommended the place gave it high reviews so maybe this is am off night. I will try again at least one more time & hopefully it will be a better experience.

Great setting on the rooftop. Service was wonderful. Food was very good. I really appreciated our server making my sons 21st BDay special with a sparkler on his dessert.

Talk about a hidden gem. It is kind of hard to find in a beautiful park that many Chicagoans don’t know exists even though it is only a couple blocks from the art institute. Super food and service. Gorgeous space. Great outdoor area
