Very good food and service but the atmosphere on the top floor is very loud. We had a group of 6 and we were yelling across the table trying to hear each other. We asked to be moved downstairs and the dining room there is much quieter. Just a heads up! My favorite food items were the pepper spread (Tirokafteri) and the octopus. The saganaki was also very tasty. It was great of the staff to be able to accomodate us changing tables as well.

We enjoyed the spread trio; there was a good amount of pita and spread although we felt it was priced a little high. Our favorite was the eggplant-based one. I would’ve liked the tzatziki to have more flavor. For entrées, my husband loved the pork tigania. I ordered the chicken gyros and was disappointed that the chicken was exclusively crispy shreds. For dessert we split the strawberry mille feuille. It was very tasty, although we couldn’t taste the lemon-lime flavor in the cream nor the ouzo flavor. Both of my cocktails were great- Stavros’ Knees and the Ouzo Spritz. Service was excellent and great atmosphere and views.

We just had our anniversary dinner last night on Avli and had a wonderful experience. We sat at a table on the street level outside deck and had a awesome southern view of the MKE skyline! The service was friendly and efficient and the food was very good, the only thing that could use some improvement was the 1/2 baked chicken which looked awesome, however was slightly dry and needed more spice, my wife needed to add salt and pepper, something you should not need to add. The Moussaka was rich and tasty. The Greek salad was great, could have used more greens but was loaded with cucumbers and tomatoes, and a couple big slices of feta cheese! We are so happy that MKE finally has a fine dining Greek restaurant! We will be back again soon!

Great service. Food is decent. Too much pita and bread served as sides.

This was our third time to Avli. We had two of our favorites, the Filo dough wrapped shrimp and the Pork Tigania, both which were excellent. we also had the pita with the choice of three spreads and all of those were good as well. The Greek meatballs however, fell short of expectations. They were very dry and even when dipped in the Taziki sauce, they weren’t the best. The atmosphere was very nice - we were outside downstairs- although next time we will ask for outdoors upstairs seating which has better views.

A friend and I enjoyed small plates and a cocktail from the "Happy Hour" menu. It was fun to try different dishes and they were all very good. I will need to go back to try an entree to REALLY experience their food. I'm looking forward to it.

Amazing! This was recommended by family and did not disappoint. The saganaki cheese was fantastic and the gyro meat was delectable. We will definitely be coming back.
