Entre un repas à l'Avenue et sur la Côte d'Azur, il n'y a désormais plus qu'une seule différence qui subsiste : vos yeux contemplent toujours les vagues de l'Atlantique mais de l'autre côté. L'Avenue vous accueille sur ce rivage, en restant sur les côtes orientales du monde dont vous êtes familier, à Long Branch, dans le New Jersey. Le restaurant flambant neuf a été conçu par l'architecte de renommée internationale David Collins et le résultat de cette collaboration n'a pas fini d'impressionner.

No one was there to great us. The manager was busy on his phone. Everything else was uphill. Jenny our waitress and bartender was great. Food was delicious.

Excellent menu choices, good preparation and presentation. Friendly waitstaff. Upstairs women’s bathroom needs to be cleaned and serviced.

Celebrated our anniversary at Avenue last nite, table outside, terrific. Was surprised with champagne, a really lovely touch. Delicious food, perfect ambience. Memorable and delicious!

The server was excellent and the ambience is lovely. The food was OK. I apologize that we ended up having happy hour and we forgot to check in with our reservation.

What can I say… our evening at Avenue was everything an outstanding dining experience could be and thoroughly exceeded our expectations!! We had the pleasure of having Juraj(JJ) as our server. JJ truly made the evening exceptional with his attention to detail and thorough knowledge of the menu with amazing suggestions! Thank you JJ! You are an absolute gentleman and Avenue is lucky to have you!! We will be returning very soon!!

The food was excellent, as always. However, the experience of getting to your table in the first place is severely lacking. Not to sound like Seinfeld, but when I make a reservation, I expect my table to be ready. Or, at the most, it would be acceptable for a minimal wait until I am brought to my table. After checking in, I was not seated at my table until 45 minutes after my scheduled reservation time. I was consistently told, since I checked in, that “my table was being prepared and I would be seated shortly.“ Next, there was even more confusion where they tried to seat us outside - even though the reservation was clearly for indoor dining. Then, when the hostess escorted us to our table, she walked us around the entire restaurant looking confused. She in fact walked us past our table which was not cleaned and ready. We were then asked to stand in a corner while staff cleaned and prepared our table. To be fair, once seated at our table, the server was attentive and got us everything we needed. The food was excellent as mentioned. Absolutely no complaints there. If you enjoy French cuisine, I do recommend you visit this establishment. However, I recommend you wait until off-season when there are not a bunch of screaming mid-20- somethings at the bar.

The food was great. The atmosphere and eating at the ocean was a perfect night for dining. Unfortunately, the service was unacceptably slow. And having worked in the industry, I am very patient. The waiter also did not do much to address our growing dissatisfaction. He also wasnt around his section much. But, overall, I did like it and would give it a second try.

Huge skip!! We ate here years ago & had a terrible experience so thought we’d give them another shot. The food is beyond mid for their price point. They never brought out the grilled shrimp to go with a salad. The duck was so chewy it was difficult to even cut. The pasta was bland & tasteless. The only thing going for this place is the atmosphere, location & views.
