Ava's St. Michaels takes limited reservations. The best way to get a table is our Call-Ahead Waitlist. Please call us at 410-745-3081 about an hour before you arrive and we'll text you when your table is ready. If you plan to "dine with your dog" on our patio, please call ahead even with an Open Table reservation. There is a two-dog limit at any given time.

Please let us know if your party has any mobility issues.

Creative Italian dining featuring hand-crafted pizzas, pasta, and unique "Ava's fare" is on the menu at this cozy find. The original Ava’s is located in the heart of St. Michael’s in a cleverly adapted historical home once known for Jimmy Jump's goose-picking service.

The dog-friendly back patio is available for dining in all four seasons, featuring a retractable roof, fireplaces, and a beer tap waterfall.

The most wonderfully friendly bartender lady made our Happy Hour VERY happy. She was knowledgeable about every food bite and libation drink - she was happy and energetic and perfect. The wine and cocktail were delicious and, at a happy hour price, sooo affordable. So...starters were half price. We enjoyed the spinach/cheese dip with fried pasta bow tie pasta, and my friend enjoyed the fried oysters. Both delicious! Then we just ordered the Mushroom tart, which was an exceptionally delicious mushroom pizza. PERFECT all around.

Ava’s has always been a staple when visiting St. Michaels, since they opened up shop. Never a poor experience out of the dozen or more times we have dined there. This visit was not the same unfortunately. Nothing more frustrating than making a reservation, getting there on time, then we weren’t noticed until about 15 minutes after we were seated. I finally grabbed an employee walking by and mentioned we don’t seem to have a waitress. They weren’t even busy. He claimed the waitress didn’t know we were seated in her section. Finally, a waitress showed up as if we had just arrived, no apology for the confusion or the wait. Normally I would not mind, but we had two starving kids under 5 we were trying to entertain. We always start with an order of the Old Bay Fries. We received regular fries with a shaker of Old Bay on the side which is not how they were ever presented to us in the past. Pizza was delicious as always. I don’t want to trash talk Ava’s cause we love the place all these years. Probably just an off day for a visit I suppose. Atmosphere was great on the covered patio. Just wish there was more of a way to combat the pesky hoards of flies that harass you. Overall a Fair visit.

Wonderful atmosphere and very friendly staff from the moment you arrive and until you leave. Friendly, warm and personable staff. Great food that was reasonably priced. Our waitress Olivia was wonderful. She was friendly, attentive and engaging. A true professional. I highly recommend their fried dough desert!!!

Always an amazing experience at Ava’s st Micheal’s. The energy is great. The cooks are happy to be there and see the regulars. Food is prepared exceptionally!

The service was excellent! The staff are very friendly. Menu choices are outstanding, and IYKYK, Mama's meatball is a must!

The hostess Devon was so accommodating; we really appreciated her working with us. Molly is a wonderful bartender and makes you feel welcome. Food is always good!!
