My dining partner and I were told that our waiter was new on the job, and while he was both charming and attentive, he came back to our table twice to ask us to repeat our order. Also, for a high-end (expensive) restaurant, our water glasses should have been filled when they were empty. Also, we told our waiter we were going to split a salad, but the kitchen didn't split it. Instead, the so-so salad was placed between us without any serving utensils. We had to ask. My dish, Pasta Carbone, was drowning in sauce. My dining partner's linguine Bolognese was very good, she said. Our dessert, vanilla ice cream drizzled with fudge, was over the top (a macaron and chocolates were thrown in for some reason). In sum, Aurora sets high expectations but doesn't really reach them.

I made a reservation a month ahead. I was greatly looking forward to celebrating my brother and sister in law's 50th wedding anniversary there. They had eaten at Aurora (on weeknights) at least 3 previous times. It was my husband and my first visit and probably the last. We didn't mind when we arrived for our 7pm reservation waiting so we walked over to the bar where I almost fell when I slipped on oil that had been spilled on the floor. Then, we were told we would have to eat on the bar side because the main restaurant side couldn't accommodate us. My sister-in-law as quite upset because she wanted the ambiance on the restaurant side to celebrate their special occasion. I also coincidentally noticed that on the bar side there were MANY other patrons who were older, (as we were. I am 68 and the other 3 in our party were in their 70s), coincidence? I think not. Aurora seems to pride themselves on being "cool and hip" and catering to LARGER number of dinner guests so a party of 4 who are seniors wasn't desirable to them. Our server (who I don't think ever told us her name) was ok. The food? Mediocre. The bread wasn't served warm. Ordered the Caesar salad (which couldn't be made tableside due us being shoved in a corner in the bar). The salad itself was ordinary. I ordered the Primo pizza (ordinary, have had better from Mom & Pop pizza shops), can't speak for the seafood my brother and sister-in-law ordered and my husband said his pizza was "so-so." My Bloody Mary was not spicy (I have had better on an airplane and at Ford Field). The Manager that my sister in law had spoken to to try and be seated in the main dining area (which they wanted us to experience due to it's beauty) was less than helpful. I do not recall his name. A gray haired gentleman with glasses. When we mentioned it was their 50th wedding anniversary he looked at us and pretty much just said "that's nice." This experience was bad from the beginning. From start to finish a bad exp. Won't return.

Very loud, could not talk with each other at table. Our server rushed us at every chance, she was overwhelmed with how busy it was. Imagine a restaurant busy on a Saturday night! The food was ok, the Bolognese with spagetti came with linguine noodles? The filet mignon was so tiny and cooked black&blue when ordered MR. We had so many different people bringing our dishes and none of them knew who ordered what, so they would stand there holding plates til one of us reached out for our dinner. About 5 minutes after the entrees were handed to us, some new person popped in to ask if we were ready for boxes! We had a 6:30 reservation and by 7:15 they wanted us out!! We ordered drinks. appetizers, a table side Cesar for 3 and entrees. We took one dessert to go, it was horrible and obviously a frozen dessert from some food service company. Luckily there are so many great restaurants with professional service in the area that we won’t miss this place!

Lovely outdoor dining area. So much quieter than dining indoors.

Lovely atmosphere but quite noisy inside. With our party of 6, one person ordered gluten free pasta, but did not receive gluten free, so she had to reorder. The Staff offered to comp her glass of wine & offered apologies of course, but when the bill came her glass of wine still appeared on the bill. The restaurant had been notified that one couple was celebrating an anniversary & the restaurant was supposed to present a special fireworks type drink, but they apparently overlooked or forgot about that. Had it not been for these missed details, I probably would have rated it with 5 stars.

We were having a 40th anniversary, the noise was extremely obnoxious. My wifes dish was over cooked also it was cramped between tables. Dress code not enforced. Not a fine dinning experience. 7 rating out of 10.

Our experience was extremely positive. This was our first visit. We had no expectations. We just wanted to experience the evening as it happened. At the end of the evening we had no complaints. The table side salad did not happen because our table was not accessible for the cart. Nonetheless, the Caesar Salad was excellent. I happen to mention our friend’s birthday and they gave her a cake and candle compliments of the house. This restaurant is on our regular list to go to.

We had a party of eight and had dinner yesterday. Appetisers, entrees and desserts were delicious. Steven was very friendly,pleasant and did a great job serving us. This was my 3rd time eating here and I woukd come back for sure.
