I went with high expectations because a dear friend had raved about the Branzino she had the evening before. I arrived at a buzzy, vibrant restaurant where we were seated in a corner booth next to a boisterous group of women, where I felt hemmed in. My friend and I shared the grilled octopus which was served on a platter which had 6 purple potatoes ( delicious but very greasy) and one tentacle of octopus-considering the price they could have served at least two. I have had better in many Greek restaurants. We ordered 2 mains- the scallops and the branzino. My branzino was not sauteed almost fried with excessive butter/oil. The delicate flavor of the fish was completely overpowered by the vcapers, olives and other ingredients of the garnish. This is a fish which is usually grilled with simple ingredients. To make matters worse, it was served on a bed of ( a cup or more) of pearl khus khus type grains which did not complement the fish at all. My friend said that her scallops were just OK as they too were completely drowned with all the other flavors on the plate.

We went early / out waiter was terrific and made good recommendations. Salad and tuna app was tasty. Great wine selection both full bottles and by the glass. The lamb chops were delicious just a bit overcooked definitely not medium as ordered and the skirt steak again not medium as ordered more like rare was also delicious. But it wasn’t hot probably cause it wasn’t given enough heat. If I wasn’t starting to get full I would have sent it back first more fire. The lemon potatoes were a great side dish and my hubby had a cappuccino and the chocolate mousse for dessert.

We really enjoyed Aura last night, the food was incredible,it will be our new spot, looking foward to our next reservation!!

If you lamented Pearl’s closing, you’ll be happy with Aura as a reasonable facsimile to Pearl. It was loud and vibing on Friday night which means they’re doing it right. Young (with babies), old, and everything in the middle were at the bar enjoying perfectly crafted cocktails by attentive, well-trained bartenders. Dining rooms were packed but, with a reservation, turnover happened in a timely manner. Tuna tartare appetizer was fresh, large enough to share, and served with perfectly-toasted bread and lots of frisée. Zucchini chips were lightly fried, spiced perfectly with za’atar and accompanied by a cooling yogurt-dill dip. East Coast oysters were fresh and delicious. Harvest salad was a great salad to share with the apps, large, fresh, and satisfying. My wife had the lamb chops which were huge, tasty, and cooked perfectly. The other couple had the skirt steak which was bright with herbs and the branzino which was a huge portion with ancient grains and asparagus. My thick-cut Berkshire pork chop was perfectly cooked with grilled and pickled peppers and a salsa verde that really brightened the dish. For dessert, the strawberry shortcake was good but the cake was more like a dense cookie sandwich, chocolate mousse was as decadent as you’d want it to be, and the espresso gelato was, quite possibly, the best coffee-flavored ice cream I’ve ever had. Our server, Natalia, knew her stuff and got everything right on the first try (kudos to the kitchen and bar also). Looking forward to many more great meals at Aura!

Eating at Aura, is a unique culinary experience. The menu is full of different choices of fish and meat and can satisfy the pallet of anyone who truly understands sophisticated food.. The fresh quality of each dish and the chefs infusion of flavors are outstanding. We had a group of 7 men celebrating birthdays and we all ate and drank premium wine and liquor for hours in a comfortable atmosphere with excellent service. This restaurant is truly a jewel, we'll all be back soon and certainly will recommend it to friends and family!!!

Food was excellent! Service was ok. A few misunderstandings on some of the orders. Please train your staff to not address the patrons as “guys”. As in, “”hi guys, ….” Just a pet peeve I have Otherwise, I’ll be back and I will tell my friends, too

Hubby and I had date night and decided to try restaurant that replaced Pearl. A arrive for 9:30 PM reservation, but was led to the bar to wait until our table was ready which took about 20 minutes . Closing out the bar tab was not easy as bartender kept passing us and my husband ended up asking another bartender to charge him. As for the dining experience , our waitress from Chile was wonderful and the food was great. I had the halibut and my husband had the skirt steak . Noise level is a bit high and I probably noticed it more because I read the reviews mentioning how loud the conversation is but Overall great time and will return in the future.

15/10! Food, vibe, drinks. Every dish was better than the last and amazing tequila selection. Cant recommend it enough!

Very noisy Saturday night. Got our table at 8:00 for a 7:30 reservation. It was packed. The grilled octopus appitizer was very good. Nice long tenticle. The crispy lemon potatoes were crispy but not very lemony and the oregano, feta, yogurt sauce was too thick. The squid ink linguini was a dish and I like my pasta ad denti but this linquini was too hard. The scallops were very good. Sweet and moist. My partner didnt find anyting interesting on the menu to have for dessert.

We had an absolutely amazing dining experience at Aura-Island Park!! Every dish was mouth watering- The salmon dish was the best salmon I have ever tasted! It was served with broccolini and it was plentiful! My husband had the pasta dish- he ordered it last time we dined at Aura and he couldn’t wait to order it again- The owners make you feel so at home by walking around to each table -making sure everyone was satisfied with their meal and service! I give it a 10 out of10 - but you should give it a try to make your own decision!!! Such a wonderful addition to the area!!!!
