Offering Brunch, Lunch, and Dinner featuring salads, sandwiches & mains made with Louisiana seafood & seasonal local produce. Highlights are the 1898 Club Sandwich, the Crabcake Benedict, a Chicken & Waffle Salad topped with a fried chicken thigh, and a house classic - the Palace Cafe Turtle Soup. The bar offers curated craft cocktails with local spirits, and a stellar wine list. We are located in the beautiful Audubon Park so you can dine on our veranda under the Oaks. Food was great , service Excellent! We were running a bit late & the hostess kindly held our table outside. Beautiful setting, relaxing, enjoyable lunch .

Food is decent. Nothing special. Restaurant was busy so the service was a little off. It appeared that tables were not being cleaned timely. We sat outside and the floor was littered with spilled drinks and food thrown on the floor. I will say the food came out of kitchen quickly.

Our experience, starting with Maitre De and moving to the service of the staff was light hearted and as delicious our meal. Started with a perfect sazerac ( or was it two?). Then we were served a lovely meal.. We didn’t really want to leave, but it was curtain time. We will be back soon.

What a fantastic experience! Finally - a place to dine in New Orleans without deafening noise levels - and an attentive staff serving marvelous new takes on comfort food. The deviled egg appetizer alone is worth the trip! Congrats to Team Brennan for serving up another home run👍.

The Audubon Clubhouse is off the beaten path, but it has become a first-class dining destination since Dickie Brennan’s organization took the helm. It’s not super fancy, nor is the menu particularly cutting edge, but the kitchen knows what it is doing— everything is perfectly cooked and presented. Service is generally excellent, but our server asked, “Are you still working on that?” when our plates were virtually empty and had upside down forks on them. That’s a phrase that never belongs in a restaurant of this caliber. The setting, overlooking the live oaks on the golf course, is beautiful and tranquil, especially when it’s warm enough to dine on the porch.

While we do coach our staff to be on the lookout for some of the silent signals you mention, it should be noted that our guests do come from a variety of cultures and backgrounds, so we do have to careful with making too many assumptions about what they are communicating to us. Over priced steak , menu said new strip. Bill said prime strip. Charged is $65.00. Which was grossly overpriced for a piece of New York strip.

This was one of the best dining experiences that we've had in a long time! The food was incredible, service was spectacular, and very reasonable prices. Rachel was such a great server, and made our night so enjoyable. Very professional and has a great sense of humor! Can't wait to go back!

It was 1:00 and they were not busy. My companion and I ordered. A good bit later they came back and said the didn’t have what he ordered. Alternative was ordered. After a few minutes they came back again and said they didn’t have his second choice, finally ordered a hamburger out of frustration. When the food came it was fine, not spectacular but fine. We finished and a dessert was ordered to share. After several minutes waitress came to the table and apologized but they didn’t have what we had ordered so that was changed to ice cream. All of this stretched out lunch considerably. They did apparently give so an extra scoop of ice cream as was pointed out by the waitress but no other compensation was offered nor asked for. It is such a delightful spot in Audubon Park for lunch so I probably will return, but I certainly hope they get their act together better.
