In case you haven't travelled with us before, let us introduce ourselves. We are a fine dining restaurant located in the heart of South Yarra.

We first opened our doors in 2016, when a then, 22-year-old Charlie Carrington, decided to create a restaurant that changed cuisine every few months. Dubbed the most "Ambitious Restaurant Opening" of the year, Atlas Dining quickly rose to cult status. Within a month, Charlie became the youngest Australian chef to be awarded a Chef's Hat.

Eight years on, and (now) 25 cuisines later, Atlas Dining continues to be one of the most unique restaurants around.

We offer affordable fine dining, but most importantly, an unforgettable experience that helps guests' tastebuds travel the world.

Starting Wednesday, 9th of October, Atlas Dining is transforming into an unforgettable Portuguese dining experience! Embark on a culinary adventure with our bold and authentic four-course Portuguese-inspired menu, where every dish captures the vibrant flavors and rich traditions of Portugal. From the smoky aromas of Piri-Piri to the heartwarming comfort of coastal seafood dishes, this is a taste journey you won’t want to miss. The menu is $85 per person, and we happily cater to all dietary requirements with advance notice.

We’ve dined at Atlas many times and each time reminds me why we keep doing so and why we recommend it to friends so often. Sadly, last night was not at the normal Atlas standard. While the food was still fantastic, it was slow & it was clear the wait staff were perhaps fewer than usual. The first courses came out & we weren’t told what we were eating (unusual) so I checked the menu on the website. Normally, we’d be checked in on for drinks/service every 10-15 mins but glasses were left empty for a half hour at a time. Courses were probably 20-30 mins between. Overall, not the normal exceptional standard we’ve had in the past.

Always enjoy Charlie’s delicious interpretation of world cuisines and the wine pairings are always delicious and interesting - will be back for Portugal.

I’ve been wanting to try Atlas for awhile and I had a chance to give it a go yesterday. The decor is really well done, service is okay. Food… it was more misses than hits. I do understand that inflation is driving the price of ingredients up but I do believe salt is still quite cheap. All dishes were under seasoned or not seasoned whatsoever, a little bit salt wouldn’t hurt.
