Atlantic Grill, located near Lincoln Center, Central Park and Columbus Circle, has reopened with a new look, feel and menu from Monte Carlo Hospitality Group and Michelin-starred Chef Antonio Salvatore. Under their guidance, Atlantic Grill’s refreshed menu aims to please previous regulars and new guests alike.
The restaurant continues to celebrate the freshest seafood from the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea, the finest cuts of meat and local seasonal produce with Chef Antonio’s signature Mediterranean flare and nods to dishes and ingredients located in or near other major global bodies of water.
On view is an abundance of fresh fish displayed on ice are showcased through the raw bar or sushi bar selections. An emphasis on a “catch of the day” program affords Chef the opportunity to present the day’s item in various ways including sashimi, ceviche, grilled, and more.

Certain food standards have stood up well- excellent Lobster spaghetti and fine beef cheeks. The butternut squash soup is another standout. Dessert, however, is a bit of a disappointment; possibly because now that the pandemic is less of an influence- it appears that the restaurant is back to sharing the kitchen with the “new” restaurant- which had closed a block away. The reopened side is supposed to be different- but you can see clearly identical dessert choices - and not really well done. Still, the great benefit is the ambiance- despite the prices it is far more pleasant than the seriously noisy alternatives in the neighborhood. Dinner is costlier just don’t expect much from dessert. It’s only mildly annoying to see that the restaurant actually runs both sides without identifying who actually runs the kitchen.

food and service were good. but the music level is on par with a disco club. when asked to turn the music down the staff said they couldn't. almost impossible to hear yourself never mind the person with you.

Service was so poor that it doesn’t matter if the food was tasty, but it wasn’t. Too bad, I live in the neighborhood and was hopeful…

Wonderful food -- especially the oysters and fish. Too bad the server (probably following policy) tried to warn us off the special pre-theater prix fixe dinner if we "didn't have 90 minutes." I think that's a way of steering folks to more expensive a la carte entrees. We ordered the prix fixe -- soup, salmon and a dessert -- and had plenty of time to make our 7:30 curtain. Delicious.

We were seated at 6:10 pm and at 7:15 pm we had only been served our first course. We had symphony tickets at 7:30 so we had to leave without getting our main course. The kitchen was completely backed up apparently but we weren’t told that when we arrived or when we ordered our food. Not a good experience at all.

Have been eating at Atlantic for years and everything is always perfect. Last night the kitchen must have had problems because after our drinks and appetizers appeared and cleared we must have waited over an hour for our main course. Our excellent waitress informed us that nobody was served. I guess they deserve their usual rating of perfect. Happens to everyone!
