Since the 1960`s, the Triantafillopoulos family, at its restaurants in Athena, Greece and Jacksonville, Florida have worked with top quality materials showing respect for the food itself and the customer.

As of December 2017, their son Yiorgos and his wife Marilena would like to welcome you to a brand new restaurant in the heart of the city, The Athenian Owl.

Reflecting the heritage and the authenticity of Yia-Yia`s (our mother and originator of the first two restaurants) recipes, we add to her wonderful food our passion of representing Greek healthy cuisine at its best.

This restaurant has a really cozy ambience, and the owners make you feel very welcome. The calamari, both grilled and fried are excellent. I had the lamb chops and they were perfect. My husband had the flounder with lemon capers & it was delicious. The only thing they have a lot of Greek wines which I was not familiar with, but the Malbec I had was very good.

My friends and I went to celebrate two birthdays. It was a wonderful time. They gave us a booth as requested. Our sweet waitress Georgia let us talk and talk to our heart’s content.

Athenian Owl is a family run business and that is one reason (of many) it is such a special place. The mood is always joyful. The food is great and reasonably priced. If I have friends in town, we always try and have a meal there . Everyone loves it! ❤️
