Very mediocre food for brunch, friendly service. Fine place if you want somewhere to eat before a performance, but would not go out of my way to eat here again.

Went with friends before the ballet. The music was loud and we asked if it could be lowered (I go to restaurants not only to eat but to socialize) so we could hear each other without having to shout, but the manager said it would be louder when more people arrived ????? and did nothing.The food is very good and beautifully presented but my friend had the risotto and it was a very small portion. Same with the squash-3 little pieces. There are very good restaurants in the area, and the consensus was that we do not need to go back.

Astrid is perfectly located for those going to theater or museums. The atmosphere is nice, the food is wonderful. However, the service is TERRIBLE! We were celebrating a birthday with friends and coordinated a day of food, museums and opera. We had a great lunch elsewhere, attended two museums and reserved a table at Astrid for dinner prior to the opera. We were seated two hours before the opera which was right next door. Our drinks and starters were excellent. Our waitress told us that our entrees were nearly ready an hour before curtain. Thirty minutes later, no entrees. The waitress asked if I wanted to speak to the manager. He never came to apologize but sent the check for the drinks and starters. As we were leaving, I spoke with him and he was not at all apologetic. Very poor customer service.

The Asterid experience menu selection was outstanding. Amazing flavors and just the right amount of food. Excellent service as well!

Close to the activities at the LA Music Center. Quiet with limited (but very tasty) menu

The food was good and the location is great. The staff was a little too snooty and dismissive. The menu was too restrictive and the service was slow and not particularly attentive.

Asterid was a delight, and extremely convenient to Disney Hall. Each dish is fascinating, with fascinating seafood ingredients and delicate sauces. One word of caution--make sure you order enough, and that you order a solid main course. This is elegant, sophisticated dining, so don't expect a lot of food in the first two courses; expect a lot of interesting flavor instead. Regulars swear by the happy hour menu (only available at the bar) and the prix fixe.

This was our second visit to Asterid. We took my mother for Mothers Day brunch. Our experience was not great mostly due to the cocktails and food. 1 chicken dish came to the table undercooked and raw. We had to send it back to the kitchen so it could be remade. The cocktails were not that tasty either. Service was at least courteous. This was an unfortunate experience because our prior visit was so exceptional.
