We ordered drinks and brunch. The duck confit tostadas were AMAZING. I’ve tried duck prepared by many chefs, always with the hope of liking it, but this is the first time I went back for a second, third and fourth bite (it was my dining companion’s meal). I got the BEALT with the redskin potatoes, and it was great as well. The potatoes had this extra crispy layer that added just that little oomph. The service was superb, our server was attentive without being overbearing. I wish it was busier in the restaurant because it really is a hidden gem and should be the type of place that’s packed all the time, and would be worth a wait.

It’s always a nice experience dining at Aster. I love that the menu changes, the chef usually comes out to visit and it a cozy cool looking atmosphere. And never thought to comment on how loud it is cuz that’s one of my pet peeves. It’s not vet loud at all! You should try it!

Whitefish fritters lacked flavor and the cocktail dipping sauce should be replaced with a tartar sauce or roumelade. Asian pancake was very good. Duck confit hushpupoies were also good. If they fix the fritters will give them a higher food score.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! We had a great experience and will definitely be coming back more often. Rachel was a fantastic bartender and a great conversationalist. The food was so tasty and fresh. We try to find farm to table restaurants to visit and this was one of the best we've tried by far.

I love that ingredients are locally sourced but farm-to-table doesn't automatically mean it tastes good. The ingredients still have to be cooked with care and knowledge. Our food was generally underseasoned and bland. The burger and fries in particular were wildly overpriced for what was small, fairly tasteless, underdressed, and underwhelming. The waffle fries were literally out of a freezer bag from GFS and were lukewarm and tough. For 27 dollars? The salmon and lentils were similarly bland. Our server was friendly but didn't bother to offer my wife a refill on her soda even though she was clearly empty for half the meal. The food needs to justify the prices and based on our experience last night, currently it doesn't. We won't likely return and if anyone asks, we won't likely recommend it to others.

Just Wonderful. Fantastic!! Such an enjoyable experience! It’s the whole reason you go out to eat so you can relax and enjoy excellent food in a kind festive environment.

Nice place for a laid back breakfast. Not a lot of options on the menu, but do you really need a lot for breakfast and brunch?

My husband and I came for our 25th wedding anniversary and the food and staff was excellent. We will be back again!
