Arts & Central is improving. It continues to be an outstanding venue - a really excellent facility. The food is somewhat inconsistent from time to time and meal to meal but hopefully with practice Arts & Central will be an important player in Sarasota. For example the fish and toppings in the fish sandwich were really good, but the "onion roll " was really poor; ciabatta sandwich was excellent. French fries were heavy and limp. There is a lot of potential and hopefully it will be realized. Wine by the glass quality is really not good (whole bottle in the restaurant with its mark up is only $40 meaning that the restaurant is paying in the teens and the wine tastes like it) while corkage fee of $35 is offensive. Corklage was only $15 when Arts & Central first opened. It should have stayed that way. Lots to think about.

Lunch was lovely- green goddess shrimp, delicious- shrimp cooked perfectly, right amount of green goddess dressing and salad. Service was attentive, maybe a little quirky but pleasant nonetheless. My friend thoroughly enjoyed the fried oysters dish that is a new addition to the regular lunch menu.

Our food and our waiter were terrific. It was noisy & we asked to move to a table away from others and we were told it was going to fill up in a few minutes so we may as well stay where we were. Turns out the whole area we were asking to move to, never had any more tables occupied. They serve these cute little corn muffins instead of bread. A couple of us asked it we could have a different kind of bread & even though they serve sandwiches on various types of bread. they said we could not have any bread other than the jalapeño corn bread

The food quality and selection was incredible, and the service was phenomenal. We will definitely be putting this place in rotation for dinning with friends

The service was excellent, explaining menu & drinks. Always checking on us.. Food was tasty & hot the portions were good size.
