We have gone to the Artisan many times because the food is always excellent. Last night we went at the beginning of dinner service, 4:30, as we had originally intended to go for a late lunch but couldn’t get a reservation that worked. Our server was excellent, our meal was outstanding, the ambience was perfect and it was very quiet. I had a veal appetizer that is rarely on the menu and a codfish dinner with kale and potatoes that I would highly recommend. My husband had potato leek soup and pot roast and enjoyed both. There was also a choice of brownie sundae or cheesecake for dessert. One of the things I like about the Artisan is that you get reasonable sized portion of excellent food, more like eating in Europe. The one thing I would caution about is that we had the prix fixe menu with wine, which is rater expensive, but very good, the bill was $200.00. It would be significantly more ordering appetizers, main dishes and desserts off the regular menu. I also got the least expensive red wine, which was very good, but someone having a better wine or cocktails would have a significantly higher bill. Due to the expense, we usually limit our visits to special occasions, like our anniversary.

The food and wine are only exceeded by the service at this restaurant. They make special events, special and any evening and event.

Fabulous food choices, innovative and beautiful location was waiting on a busy Wednesday night. The oak bar, the twinkling white lights and the choice of dining location ( patio, bar, restaurant make this an oasis just off I 95 within the Delamar Hotel. Scallops were perfect and presented artistically. Service and attitude excellent. We will return.

Artisan is simply The Best Restaurant for fine dining in Fairfield/Southport. The ambiance is unsurpassed, the menu is eclectic and adapted seasonally with locally sourced foods, and the staff is professional and attentive. We highly recommend Artisan!

Lovely atmosphere for a Birthday Lunch with my Best girlfriends!!! There was a nice variety on the menu and the waiter and chef were accommodating when one of the women asked for something that she didn’t see on the menu. The food was seasonal, fresh and elegantly presented. The server was attentive but not pushy. We were allowed to take our time and be leisurely on a beautiful Fall day with the open patio. I will most definitely return!

The sound and dust from neighboring leaf blowers was overwhelming. It was unfortunate it happened during the lunch hours. I believe the manager asked them to stop.

Service & quality are paramount for me. The restaurant hit both. Chef Jose created a menu that was clean & subtle at the same time. Ingredients were as fresh as can be. Each item on the plate had its own distinct flavor! One of the best meals I've had in a very long time. The young and enthusiastic serving staff was very attentive and professional. The wine selection by the glass was excellent.
