A l'ouest de Strawberry Fields, l'Arte Café est situé dans l'incontournable quartier de Brownstone dans l'Upper West Side depuis 22 ans. Il dispose d'un grand jardin extérieur avec une fontaine d'eau ou d'une salle à manger principale avec des sièges près de la cheminée lorsqu'il fait froid le soir. Il se trouve à quelques pas de Central Park et propose une cuisine pan-italienne haut de gamme avec des pâtes artisanales faites maison, des viandes et des poissons frais, des pizzas cuites au four en brique et des desserts somptueux. Delightful gem on the UWS! We had the pre-fixe lunch before a matinee at Lincoln Center, and it was just perfect. Warm, attentive, super-friendly service; delicious, authentic Italian food with high-quality ingredients in exactly the right portions; a lovely, comfortable, and stylish dining room – and a terrific value! Just what we wanted for a relaxing, enjoyable, great meal. We will definitely be back soon!

Took a friend here for dinner. Appreciated that the noise level was low so we could hold a conversation. Our dinners were tasty and not overpriced.

Very good restaurant. We went there before a show at the nearby Beacon Theater. Good food. Servers seemed a little confused and kept bringing the wrong dishes to our table. Good drinks at bar.

I've had dinner and lunch at Arte Cafe many times and have always enjoyed the experience. The food has always been superb, but this last time (lunc) one dish -- the chicken piccata -- was a bit salty. I wondered if there'd been some change in the lunch time kitchen staff. But all in all, as usulal, my party and I had a wonderful time with delicious food, drinks, and excellent service.

The staff was polite and accommodating. The Prix Fixe menu was extremely reasonable for Manhattan. The zucchini fritti appetizer was only slightly smaller than the full-sized portion ordered by another guest. The Pollo alla Griglia was tender and well seasoned - perfect for a light lunch if not for a hearty eater for whom "heavier" options were available on the Prix Fixe menu. The Tiramisu dessert did not disappoint!

A nice little hidden gem on the Upper West Side. The food is very good and the ambience is warm and charming. The wait staff was very busy the day I was there so I didn't give them a very good rating. I hope this is not alway the case.

Ambience is warm/welcoming, the food delicious and the value on par and reasonable for NYC prices. The wait staff was exceptional, very attentive, helpful and professional! Why we always return.

I love this place, the food and service are terrific. However the brunch portions seemed a bit small, everyone’s eggs were overcooked, and it isn’t possible to add on more eggs without being charged for an additional entree.
