Arros QD is the result of chef Quique Dacosta’s lifelong passion for paella and wood-fired cooking, brought to life in the heart of Fitzrovia. Everything revolves around the six-metre woodfire stove where our chefs weave their magic, with theatrical seating around the open kitchen downstairs and a classic dining experience on the upper floor. Our space was conceived by globally renowned Spanish interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán, with open fires and a glazed wine cellar providing a spectacular visual backdrop in which to experience the evolution of paella. Our menu combines Mediterranean influences with locally sourced ingredients, accompanied by classic wines from around the world, as well as many undiscovered Spanish gems that you will find nowhere else in London.

                                                                                                                Excellent food let down by the poor service. Waiter did not smile once and was very brush. Nice chandelier upstairs but the bright light came on at 11 pm on the dot while we were still finishing our deserts and wine. They refused to dim the light. When I complained they asked me if I would like to speak with the manager- the manager never showed. Shame. They could have dimmed the lights for another 10 min while we pay the bill. It would have been a different experience altogether.

                                                                                                                I’m Spanish and I can comfortably say this is one of the best places in the world to enjoy a good, genuine Spanish rice in its different variants. Food, service and ambiance are simply fantastic.

                                                                                                                Very poor start when we told waiter we need more time to order..His arrogant response was you MUST be ready when I come around next time. Then I asked for a cup of hot water for my sore throat. I was charged £3 for this! The rice was dry and overcooked. Very few emaciated prawns dressing the dish. A huge disappointment after first coming here 3 years ago. Won't be returning.

                                                                                                                Vegetable paella was really good! It was not authentic Spanish paella, but it was still good. Wine glass, in which the drink was served, was not clean.

                                                                                                                Wow - had heard great things about Arros QD and it did not disappoint. The paella was stunning, as were the starters (tuna tartare and pulled pork) and the desserts (white chocolate cavier and warm chocolate cake). You will need a super sweet tooth to finish the desserts. Service was efficient, friendly but discreet - which is what we wanted!
