When we got to the restaurant we were told their standard is collared shirt and made my 13 yr old put on a jacket. This was fine even though I didn’t agree. But I have my standards too. Food tastes was great, unfortunately I left hungry. The portions were so small from appetizer to the end of dinner. I literally got a 1-2 oz filet of fish on 5 beans. I also ordered the soufflé potatoes, I literally got 8 French fries that were as thin as paper. Perhaps Mr Arnaud should worry more about his guest leaving full and satisfied rather that how they dress!!! By the way my son had on khakis with his Daniels jersey he was so proud of which probably cost more than half of the shirts in the room. The meal was over 300.00 for 4 people. We received 8 crab claws , 2 1-2 oz of filets of fish , a very small portion of gumbo and about 10 salad shrimp in the other app, I had to eat bread to try to get full. Our cocktails were about 50.00. I would have expected way more food from such a well known establishment!! I will not be going back.

Love this classic restaurant with delicious food and excellent service. Arnaud’s Salad, Oysters Bienville, Speckled Trout Meunière, fine white wine, fresh Bread and butter, and strawberries with wine sauce and ice cream. Superb!

This is hands down the best restaurant in New Orleans. The food was AMAZING! The service from the staff was the best I have seen in any restaurant ever. This dine dining experience is something you MUST try!

The wait staff really make this restaurant. The food is mediocre, at best. The stuffed mushrooms were still raw, the food was barely warm. The shrimp were only partially peeled. The ambiance is very boring, they don’t even have any artwork/decor or play music. Only pretentious paintings of the owners. I couldn’t stop looking at the cheap ceiling fans. For a $250 meal it was incredibly disappointing. However our service was phenomenal. The waiters and waitresses really make this restaurant. Especially Tyrone. Without him, I would’ve give this restaurant a much lower rating.

Wait staff was wonderful. Food was ok. I had the veal dish and asked waiter if it was thin medallions. He assured me that it was. So I ordered that. My husband ordered the filet, which was perfect. On the other hand, my dish consisted of 2 chunks of very tough veal over risotto. I ate the risotto. Couldn’t cut let alone chew the veal. But the rest of the meal was great. Still was charged $45 for the veal. I find that odd because I let the waiter know that I couldn’t eat it.

Being served by a team of three is just one of the signs of the elevated dining experience that is Arnaud’s. Your seating in an open, moderately sized and elegant dining room. Tables are set a little tight but you don’t feel cramped once seated. The menus (cocktail and dining) include old standards from the original owners to updated classics from the current chef. I started with the classic French 75 cocktail. We skipped a starter because we wanted to try dessert. I ordered the Filet Mignon Charlemond and my daughter ordered the Arnaud’s Crab Cakes. We shared the Soufflé Potatoes and Creamed Spinach. We both loved the flavors of our food but both noted that the plates came out with cool not hot food. This was most notable with my sauce, her crabs cakes and (especially) the soufflé potatoes. We order the table side Bananas Foster. When they bring around the cart for this you notice how tight the tables are, but they fit through. It was a fun experience watching this be prepared. The bananas were served on the form side which decreased our enjoyment of the dessert some but, again, the flavors were spot on. Our team of Janine, Travis and Terrell (I hope I got them all correct) were attentive, helpful and nice. They made it a special experience and night.

My favorite old school NOLA restaurant - by far. Food was served hot, was delicious & the service fabulous.
