Arlo Grey is the LINE's lakeside restaurant by Top Chef winner, host , and cookbook author Kristen Kish. At Arlo Grey, Kish and Executive Chef Alejandro Munoz dig deep into the bountiful ingredients of Central Texas to create a mix of dishes. The restaurant reflects Kristen's playful yet refined cuisine, pulling inspiration from her classical training as a well as nostalgic dishes that highlight her upbringing and love of travel. Come by for a casual, comfortable experience and a menu designed to nourish the soul. Reservations are highly recommended. Valet-parking is available for $10 for 3 hours with validation.

I took my wife to Arlo Grey to celebrate her 40th birthday and it was a first-class experience from top to bottom. From the quickly attentive hostess, who seated us, to the thoughtful note left for my wife, the details clearly mattered. Our waiter, Kevin, explained the concept of the menu and what to expect and his knowledge was top notch. And the food didn’t miss. Outstanding crudo, standout burrata, the malfaldini didn’t miss and the chicken was nothing expected. Add to that some surprises by the chef for my wife and the night was a 10. Thanks for making the night so special for my wife. Cheers.

We LOVED every bite!!!!! We over ordered potentially and certainly ate too much because we wanted to try several dishes. No regrets!!!! Everything was absolutely delicious!!!!

I had super high expectations and it was a nice evening but food wasn’t as interesting and service wasn’t memorable. I loved the okra and the cocktails!

It was a weird setting. You are basically in the hotel lobby and the tables are very spread out. I wish it had a more vibrant, energetic ambience. The chairs are the type you would sit in at a private school assembly. But just a few chairs in the space were mismatched making me wonder if they were trying to pick new ones for the whole space? But considering the caliber of the Chef, I would have thought the design would have been more elevated. The food was delicious but we were dismayed that when we ordered Halibut, we were served Fluke because they had only had a limited supply of the Halibut. The restaurant was not even near busy and we ate on the early side so where did it go? Anyway, I don't like Fluke and we sent it back. To their credit, they didn't charge us for the fluke nor the dish we got to replace it. My cocktail was delicious. I'll give them that no question. Our server was fine but I'm dinging him for not mentioning the fish thing and because he couldn't seem to explain we each of us had gotten different menus. Another weird thing.

The menu is small and there aren't many options for anyone with food allergies. I ended up getting the crispy rice with crab and bacon. It was NOT what I expected and the teaspoon of crab meat was extremely salty. The tablespoon of bacon was nice. Skimpy doesn't begin to describe it. Waitress was very nice.

We had an incredible time and the food was simply amazing!! The staff were attentive and friendly. I wish we lived nearby to visit all the time.

Made reservation for 7:15 pm for 5 on Saturday, Oct 19. Showed up 10 minutes early. Was invited to order drinks at bar until table is ready. Was told that someone would come get us. Place was 90% empty with staff to guest ratio nearly 1:2. 10 minutes after reservation time after no one came to the empty bar area to get us for our table, we went to ask how things were looking. Were mysteriously looked at as if we had not just spoken to them only 20 minutes prior. They asked where the 5th guest was. We told them they won't be able to make it. Was told they need to re-calibrate everything for us 4. Were finally sat around 7:35 pm. Waiter came to explain menu and pour water after a few minutes being sat. He gave us a detailed overview of the menu and options. He seemed to emphasize, repeatedly, about how "the kitchen prefers" the orders come based on how they prefer to fire up grill. Cool. Makes sense. Took our drink order. We were hungry so we also put our food order in. I ordered Crudo, Crispy Rice and The Burger. Somehow that complicated "how the kitchen prefers" to make everything. I'm easy so I just said I'd be ok with however "the kitchen prefers" to do my order as long as the Crudo can come to me first IF POSSIBLE (I don't know if their Crudo requires firing up a grill??). We all could sense he did not like my answer, and it clearly had something to do with my ordering BOTH the Crispy Rice and the Burger? . The other 3 guest were now concerned with how this waiter and the kitchen would react that they ordered a simple garden item and a burger. We didn't see the waiter until 8 pm when our drinks were finally ready. The starters came moments later. The food was awesome. 5 stars. But the way we felt up to that point was a feeling of "what did we do wrong?".

Great experience for our first visit. Our waiter Taco was by far the best we have had serve us in 6 years in the Austin area. Wonderful place to celebrate our 25th anniversary!
