Argoe is a casual harbourside restaurant serving the best of local Cornish produce. We focus on fish and seafood, landed here in Newlyn, and take inspiration from traditional European methods of cooking. Our dishes are served to be shared, arriving from the kitchen as they are ready and accompanied by minimal intervention wines from our taps and a small selection of Cornish and UK made ciders, spirits and soft drinks.

A very nice evening sitting outside on the terrace with excellent service and wonderful food. We loved the sharing (tapas style) sharing of the dishes. The scallops and cuttlefish were delicious!

Very well chosen menu cooked with great skill, it is sharing plates but they are big enough for one if you can't agree on the choice of dishes, scallops from the grill exceptional

We ate outside and had the most amazing view: even saw a seal close by in the harbour. We were warm enough - it was mid September. There were rugs in case we weren’t. The service was excellent the staff were very helpful and well informed. But the most outstanding feature was the quality of the food. Original, fresh, delicious. And very good value for money. We had a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic meal at Argoe. The food was incredible, the staff were helpful and friendly and the ambience was great. We sat outside and had wonderful views of the harbour and were even visited by a very relaxed seal. We will definitely return.

Tapas style portions, excellently cooked. Varied wine and drinks list. If you feel the cold, book indoor table or take a coat for outdoor seating ( subject to weather). We love this venue and eat there when visiting. Must try.

Lovely food, lovely service and lovely ambience. Beautiful views from the counter seats, making it easy to have a conversation.

Great ingredients cooked perfectly, the braised cuttlefish in squid ink is one of the tastiest dishes I’ve ever eaten, we’ll be back next year!

No matter who we asked for recommendations while we were in Cornwall, everybody mentioned Argoe. We were able to grab an early sitting and had a fabulous meal. 100% recommend.
