Argoe is a casual harbourside restaurant serving the best of local Cornish produce. We focus on fish and seafood, landed here in Newlyn, and take inspiration from traditional European methods of cooking. Our dishes are served to be shared, arriving from the kitchen as they are ready and accompanied by minimal intervention wines from our taps and a small selection of Cornish and UK made ciders, spirits and soft drinks.

Initially was impressed by the service and the menu, however there were very large gaps between the small plates, the ‘crab’ and broccoli was warm broccoli with more of a crab dressing - no lumps of cramp just a couple of flakes. The scallops were cooked in their shell but there hadn’t been any effort made with the overall execution - they were stuck to the shells and with the butter style knives supplied for dinner, removing them at the counter was very difficult and took the shine off a little. Agree with google reviews that the value for money is not what you would expect.

Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious, particularly the scallops and ray wing. Such a great place, lovely people and outstanding food

Honestly one of the tastiest meals I’ve ever eaten. The service was very attentive and it was a nice place to be 😌 great selection of wines too. I’d recommend to anybody to have the sole - beautifully tasty, it was melt in the mouth! Thank you very much for a lovely experience.

Absolutely awesome as always. Just love the whole Concept and they were brilliant with my mum who is in a wheelchair. Can’t wait to come again soon ❤️

Such delicious food. We had the fish soup, cuttlefish, scallops, Hispi cabbage, and megrim sole. A real feast and just delicious!

We visited Argoe late September while on holiday in Cornwall. It was easily the best meal of the week. The whole experience was great, the staff were attentive but not overly so. We ordered the crab, squid, cuttlefish and scallops and the seasonal greens, all were delicious. We cannot wait until our next holiday so we can visit again!
