Arden is an idyllic retreat tucked into Portland's Pearl District. Arden delivers seasonal Pacific Northwest cuisine and an award-winning wine program featuring over 250 bottles, many with bottle age. Guests have the option to dine a la carte or enjoy the chef's prix fixe menu ($70): a shared experience that features 4 courses of seasonal cuisine. Coursed wine pairings are also available ($45).

Arden is named in homage to Shakespeare's famous forest - a place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city and appreciate nature's bounty and beauty. The restaurant invites you to take an exiting culinary adventure through the Pacific Northwest, and explore the incredible range of ingredients that the region has to offer.

We'll take you on a tour of our seasonal pacific northwest themed menu where you and your guests will share 9 of our most popular dishes. Wine pairings are optional and an additional $45 per person. Please contact us directly with any dietary restrictions or food allergies. At this time we are unable to accommodate any vegan diets on our prix fixe experience. Thank you for understanding! Please note: We will happily split payment between up to 3 credit cards but kindly refuse to split checks for large parties. We allot 2.5 hours for large parties due to limited seating, thank you for your understanding!

FABULOUS!! Highly recommend $75 prix fixe — generous portions (& pours); get to taste much of menu. Superb, reasonably priced wine pairings & excellent wine list. This place is all about generosity: our waiter brought us 1/2 glasses of a red he thought we’d like, complimentary, & we loved it. He was passionate about what he does, & we could see why. Loved this little place.

Generally very nice. Expensive for the small servings. The beet salad was excellent and a lovely combo of tastes and textures. The halibut entree was good but not outstanding. Too much of a generic cream sauce and not nearly as interesting as the salad. The ice cream was good. The olives and marcona almond snacks were both unusually tasty. I was annoyed that the server whisked them away (there were some left) while I was briefly away from the table.

Food was fabulous. We decided not to do the fixed prix menu ( BTW- price slightly higher than the website quotes) because it did not include a highly favored offering: the fois gras which was spectacular. We did the pairing of fois gras with the Sauterne which is the absolute perfect pairing and a must. We also had the oysters as an app which are from the PNW and not to our liking much: briny, meaty, not a clean finish. We are from the northeast so perhaps spoiled with great oysters. The halibut was exquisite, made perfect by the curried vichyssoise, and a perfect portion. My husband had the pork tenderloin (with a Rioja) which was uniquely prepared with black sesame something over polenta. It was good. We shared the chocolate terrine which was also uniquely prepared with an unusual whipped cream ( tasted like whipped sour cream) and a merengue bark with huckleberries. It was good, but the chocolate was rich, so less would have been ok too. Service was good but I felt like we waited a bit too long between when the the apps were done and the main meal came ( about 20 minutes). It was our anniversary and they gave us a half flute of Prosecco at the end with the check —a lovely treat that I think should have been given at the beginning. Highly recommend the restaurant.

The food is amazing! However, we felt rushed. I understand having to turn the tables, but there is something to be said about enjoying your meal at a leisurely pace. Too bad, would have been 5 star otherwise.

Wonderful service and even better food. The Wagyu tartare is as fun as it is tasty, served street taco style with leaf wraps. The Kabocha squash gnocchi was ethereally light with a deep sauce and pomegranate seeds giving brightness and crunch. I didn’t think anything could top the gnocchi, but the stoner sundae with grated frozen foie gras came close.

Maybe the best pork I’ve ever tasted. The spaghetti was incredible as well.

Delicious! Ordered spaghetti and pork tenderloin entrees, well presented, portion size is just right for one, wasn’t heavy, each bite was a flavor burst

The food, wine & service were all top notch. We’ll be back based on that alone. My only complaint is the ventilation of the kitchen - when we left, we smelled like a restaurant.
