Our newest restaurant, Aracosia McLean, is the sister restaurant to Bistro Aracosia in DC, and Afghan Bistro in Springfield VA.

A wonderful place to celebrate my promotion. The kabob was especially great- make sure to order the lamb and beef tenderloin!

My wife and I eat at Aracosia McLean and Bistro Aracosia fairly often and the food and service are uniformly excellent. Yesterday I went with a friend and we had the Taste of Aracosia for two, which was comprised of six(?) different dishes, some meat and some vegetarian. Everything was terrific.

Here are the positives: 1) the hostess was excellent; 2) our waiter was good, but not great. Negatives: 1) I ordered a lamb shank dish, thinking it was the same as what I had ordered on previous visits to Aracosia. It wasn't. It was much, much too spicy. I won't order this dish again; 2) the restaurant was noisy; for us senior citizens, much too noisy to have a pleasant conversation; 3) I left a 15% tip, which seemed to be insufficient for our young waiter. I think suggesting an 18% or 21% tip -- as the restaurant does -- is outrageous; and 4) prices are high; there's little value here. Aracosia is one of my wife's favorite restaurants. I may return because of her, but probably never again on my own or with a guest.

I'm a long time vegetarian and Aracosia has the most amazing selection for vegetarians. this was my 7th time at Aracosia and every meal has been delicious. Thanks for remembering those of us who are vegetarians.

I had dinner for a date and it was a an enjoyable evening with my girlfriend. We had Andica Cabernet Sauvignon which was a delightful red wine. My girlfriend is a pescatarian so their multiple choices for vegetarian were great. I forgot exactly what she ordered but she said it was good. I ordered the Lamp Tenderloin which was good. Services was excellent where our waiting checked in on us very often and I was very impressed where the servers were very on top of ensuring your water glass is never empty. In fact they stopped by before my girlfriend's glass was even half empty. Ambiance was nice and cozy which was what I was looking for for a date.

Throughout the meal, the staff was attentive without being intrusive. When our server picked up that one of party was celebrating a birthday, he provided a special desert for her without our asking. The food was excellent.
