Tavern est le troisième restaurant du duo du chef Suzanne Goin et de la sommelière Caroline Styne, qui possède également un restaurant Lucques et un bar à vin AOC. Ceci est leur avant-poste de l'ouest de Los Angeles, qui sert de fief local pour les habitants de Brentwood. Designé avec chic par Jeffrey Alan Marks, Tavern est composé de trois endroits distincts mais connectés: une salle à manger avec toit en verre, un grand bar aux murs bleus et un salon de thé appelé Larder qui propose des repas décontractés, une boulangerie, et vente de plats préparés à emporter. Le restaurant propose la cuisine de Suzanne Goin, Californienne et Méditerranéenne avec un zeste d'influence Américaine.

holiday Rosh Hashana dinner. Very disappointed in food. Main entree was brisket which was shockingly braised and charred. We were terribly upset considering it was a special holiday dinner.

I wish Amelia Saltsman would orchestrate more events like this at AOC for the holidays. Delicious and so much fun

service was horrible. Our waiter was rude. Obnoxious did not even show up to bring our check. Food was late for almost an hour. This is the result of management hiring anyone who can walk and talk . Nine dollars for three pieces of bread is unbelievable not to mention charging me five dollars for employees health insurance. I would never go back there again and I would not recommend this place to anyone. I spent hundred dollars for two glasses of red wine and Cold vegetable tray, and three pieces of old bread. But what really caused me to write? This was lack of service and more importantly for the waiter to be so rude and argumentative.

as I mentioned when I arrived, I had made the reservation (granted, for two and not for four people initially) about a month ago and somehow got assigned an outdoor table, which I only learned about the day before, when I called to expand the res and when it was too late to move inside. on a cold evening no less (though the heat lamps worked well). on top of that, the service was quite slow; our entrees stayed on the table forever when we were clearly done, and I finally had to flag someone down to take them, and then flag someone else down to bring us the check (we have young kids and needed to get home). overall a subpar evening at a restaurant we do like a lot. food was excellent though.

Once again, had the best brunch ever at AOC and the best server ever — JJ! She’ll make any dining experience extra special! Cannot recommend AOC more for consistently delish food, great service and a comfy cozy ambiance that makes you feel at home.

AOC Brentwood is one of the few restaurants in LA where the Food is consistently great; and the ambiance is low key enough to be able to have a good conversation with friends without having to scream my lungs out. Service could be a hit and miss, depending on which server you have. I've had excellent service there, but also mediocre service. But overall, I go for the food and AOC delivers.
