D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Antoine’s is the county’s oldest continuously operating restaurant and a special-occasion destination for its opulent setting and elegant, French-Creole fare. Sit in one of 14 gilded dining rooms to feast on favorites like oyster Rockefeller and soufflé potatoes, both original to the restaurant. Cap the meal with a classic baked Alaska or the house chicory coffee, laced with cognac and triple sec and flamed tableside—it’s New Orleans, after all.

Great food, great service, great drinks. Our waiter, Patrick B., was so fun, he really enhanced the meal.

We were very excited to try one of New Orleans’s ‘Grande Dames,” but honestly this was a let down. Service was incredibly slow, and our server seemed very occupied with multiple large parties (we were only a party of two). We waited about 15 minutes to place our order, and ordered all courses at once. Waiter even made a remark “not to worry, he’d pace all courses like we wanted.” Red flag one came just a few minutes later when he came back to ask my son (20) what his starter course was. Shortly thereafter our first course came, Oysters Rockefeller. We were surprised how fast it came out, before our drinks from the bar. They weren’t very hot however, so I assume the kitchen had an extra plate of Oysters Rock ready when we ordered. We finished the oysters and then it was about 10 minutes later our bar drinks came out. Then we waited more. And more. Probably 25-30 minutes after our appetizer came out, they brought me a glass of wine I’d ordered to come with my a This was red flag two, because we hadn’t gotten my soup or salad yet. As soon as I sipped my wine, the food runner delivered our entrees. We were both hungry, and decided to dig in because I hadn’t seen our actual server since he’d come back to the table to inquire about my son’s salad. At my third bite, he appeared with our soup and salad. I told him we’d just continue to enjoy our entrees, and he said he’d take them off our bill with a small mumbled apology. My filet was good, but barely warm. It clearly had been sitting and waiting a while. My son’s lamb chops were cooked perfectly and arrived hot. We ate the entrees, no check back until we were done. We waited again for 15ish mins for plates to be cleared. Until this point no one had cleared the table of our bread plates and cocktail glasses. Then the baked Alaska comes out, from the food runner again. He served it to us, and it was delicious- but wondering why all the big parties had the full experience with the dessert being lit on fire and we didnt

We live in New Orleans and had been to Antoine’s before. Again, the experience lived up to the reputation. Out server was Lita. She was phenomenal because she informed us about the history of the restaurant and was thorough regarding the specials. She made sure that we were accommodated with anything we asked for. Actually the prices were very reasonable. Gumbo was incredible but tho lamb chops were SUPER delicious. Highly recommend visiting this restaurant.

The entire experience was lovely and a perfect end to our visit in New Orleans! The ambiance was warm & inviting. Staff were personable, professional, and attentive. The food was spectacular! We ordered the Oysters Rockefeller and Pompano Pontchartrain which were both prepared perfectly. I would recommend without question.

The food was delicious, the presentation beautiful, & the staff were friendly & attentive. The price was appropriate for the quality of the food & atmosphere. They will allow you to split entrees too. The restaurant was busy but it was not too loud. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary & the staff sent us 2 complimentary glasses of wine to toast with (& drink if we wanted to, which I did & the wine was good as well). We tried the Baked Alaska for dessert & it was amazing. It’s a large dessert so I recommend sharing with 3-4 people if possible, my husband & I weren’t even able to eat half of it & we shared an entree so we’d have plenty of room to indulge in dessert. We toured the historic restaurant afterwards. This is one of the restaurants worth the hype!

We got a last-minute brunch reservation and were so glad to visit the iconic Antoine's! It lived up to expectations, and we treated ourselves to bottomless mimosas, charbroiled oysters, shrimp & grits, and the seafood omlette. We even had bread pudding for dessert. The prices were reasonable and service impeccable. We enjoyed the roaming jazz trio, which added a classy atmosphere to our visit.

We had an amazing experience! They were so thoughtful on making sure to make our son feel extra special for his birthday! The jazz music was so much fun and they sang happy birthday, the food was top notch especially the oysters Rockefeller and shrimp and grits, they also took us on a tour of the restaurant after we ate, we didn't feel rushed, we would definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to visit again!

Lovely restaurant. Unfortunately, my fish was overcooked They were very apologetic and ended up comping my entree and offering a free dessert. The dessert was delicious...Bourbon pecan pie ala mode. I would give Anyoine's another try.
