The waiter was young and either inexperienced or unfamiliar with a fine dining experience. Before reciting the evening’s specials, he asked the table, “what are you in the mood for?” We didn’t have a ready answer and asked him to just tell us the specials. Turns out there were only 3 choices, so the “what are you in the mood for” question was wholly unnecessary. When we asked the soup of the day, he answered “Minestrone”. I asked “Is it very thick, or on the thin side?” His response was “It’s liquid.” His affect was off the mark the entire night. Either over attentive in showing up every5 minutes to try to clear plates, to utterly disappearing for 25 minutes before we got our check. Really marred what could have been a great night.

Two couples having dinner together and the restaurant/manager/server would not give 2 separate checks. Each had to pay half and work out the difference between us. Could end up being an issue depending on the people. Also you pay more if you use a credit card. ( which is becoming the norm these days) Everything else was great.

My husband loves the Risotto, and I love the bolognese, good seafood platter!

Our waiter Ryan was great, he recommended the salsiccia appetizer and my girlfriend and I loved it. Craft cocktails and apéritifs were flavorful. I’m not a vegan, but my new favorite might be the vegan risotto with a roasted pepper purée.

I’m 100% Italian and from New England. This was one of the best Italian meals I have ever had, outside of my grandma’s home. We met the owner and he was very friendly and kind. I can’t recommend it enough, everything was delicious

We were fortunate enough to enjoy dinner here on day 5 of their soft opening. I can guarantee it will become a regular place for us. While the building is set back behind the San Marino Club and a bit hard to find if you don't already know where it is, they said they will have good signage in a bit. The atmosphere was lovely, with tablecloths, attractive decor and a beautiful wine wall between the bar and restaurant. Our server Dede was gracious, encouraged us to take our time and order whenever we felt like it, and checked in often. He was happy to tell us about any dish we were curious about. I did not catch his name but the executive chef/owner was there and he was so welcoming. We enjoyed the burrata and prosciutto appetizer and shared an order of the Risotto Sandro which was probably the best risotto I have ever eaten. We left not a speck of it. Husband had lambchops, which he said were delicious and perfectly seasoned, and I had the Vittelo Limone E Carciofini (veal with artichokes and lemon). Both were outstanding. There were many other dishes that sounded wonderful and we cannot wait to go back and try more of them. To put it simply, we enjoyed it so much we have already made our Christmas holiday reservation with them after just one meal. Need I say more? We have other upscale Italian restaurants that we frequent but Antica Nova has definitely climbed to the top in our opinion.
