Friday night 5:30. They were out of chicken fingers, Allagash beer. Took an extremely long time to get a drink. A Pina Collada took 25 minutes. Food was also very slow coming out. The thing is, they weren’t very busy. Usually have an exceptional experience here. Not this time

The staff was very nice and the restaurant was clean. Our table split the eggplant appetizer and absolutely loved it. However, my signature salad was not good. The salmon was so overcooked that it felt like I was eating two pieces of salmon skin. I feel like I ingested a lot of oil when it was supposed to be a healthy choice. Too heavy handed on the honey as well. The other entrees came out well and were enjoyed but my experience wasn’t good. I’m disappointed as I was looking forward to this meal out knowing we’ve been happy in the past there and were celebrating a birthday tonight.

We always enjoy dining at Anthony’s. My wife had two appetizers and no entree, with one of the appetizers being the beef carpaccio, which is excellent. The wine list is nice but the pours are a bit skimpy. The pasta is homemade and cooked Al dente.

I had reservations and arrived on time but had to wait until a table was cleared. Service was extremely slow our drinks needed refilled but didn’t see our waitress again until after the food arrived My husband’s filet came out well done vs the medium that he ordered. It took over 20 minutes for him to get a new one which came cut into slices and still overdone. He just ate it and paid the full price for it. My son and I both had the chicken Parmesan which was so tough we couldn’t slice it let alone chew it so they were sent back for a full refund. I asked to speak to the manager but my waitress talked for him/her and we left without a manger coming to our table to apologize. Needless to say my birthday dinner was ruined and I will not be returning.

We are frequent diners at Anthony's. Great food with homemade pasta, great veal dishes and a beef carpaccio appetizer that could be consumed as an entree. Very pleasant and upbeat atmosphere and the servers are incredibly attentive but not rushing you out the door, which can be a fine line. Prices are reasonable and portion sizes are generous. Pizza eaten in house is excellent.

I made reservations for my wife's birthday, for Monday evening thinking we wouldn't have any problem getting a table . But when we got to the restaurant it seemed that our table was given away, we were taken upstairs to the loft where we were not acknowledged for about 15minutes , but when our waitress Jossie did show she was very apologetic. See my wife and I have about 60 years together in the business so we don't mind waiting and being the only table occupied upstairs, the whole room was to us . The food was terrific 😋 we now have Anthony's on our list of returning places to eat. I would only say one negative thing concerning the menu so instead of a salad I would prefer potatoes, or pasta as a side selection. Jossie you will be our waitress next time we stop by.
