The ambiance, service, and food were amazing. We ordered several appetizers and an entree to share family style between 3 people and it was the most perfect amount of food. We had the wontons, charred broccolini, sweet and sour cauliflower, and the dinuguan (braised beef cheek and coconut rice bread). The Dinuguan was definitely the star of the show but everything was delicious. Each item, except for the wontons, had an element of sweetness which complemented the savory beautifully. We also ordered the chocolate cremeux, apple sorbet, and ube profiteroles for dessert. The chocolate cremeux was my favorite with a hint of spice and a variety of textures which was extremely pleasant for my palette. I will definitely go again.

Kinilaw was amazing as an appetizer. The Kare Kare was so delicious since it has a rich and savory sauce. I got the szechuan sea bass and it was very delicious as well.

Loved the short rib kare kare. The ube cocktail (Midnight in Manila) was so delicious. Desserts could use some improvement. The ube profiteroles looked beautiful but the taste was an ordinary profiterole that needed more ube flavor. Same with the buko pandan -- it was bland. Overall the food, service and experience was outstanding and we will definitely be returning.

Incredible experience. Unique ingredients and presentation. Loved the Wagyu, Kare Kare, Wontons, Wagyu fried rice and Ube Profiteroles. Philippine, Japanese, Korean and Japanese ingredients fused phenomenally well. The oysters, however, were too large and the seasoning did not compliment them. Could not eat them all. Overall, we would still return!!

It was tasty but didn’t feel like it was worth the price. Service was fine. Definitely not what you would expect for a restaurant that is chef driven at this price point.

Service was great! Food was amazing! I hadn’t been here since Animae first opened and the menu had changed. Nonetheless what we tried was amazing! We had the ume oysters, dinuguan, short rib kare kare and the crab fried rice for a somewhat surf and turf combo. The drinks were also very good. Highly recommend and would return again!
