Food was pretty good but I would not go back due to very slow and poor service. Better options out there.

Everything was excellent, wait time wasn’t long for us. There were a couple parties who waited a while apparently, they were brought some complimentary wine for the inconvenience and I thought that was very nice. The wait staff was patient and answered every question concisely. If you want a shot at one of the smaller dry aged rib eyes (sold at market price), then go as early as possible because they will run out and only have large steaks left. The Australia waygo steak was excellent and I’d recommend the Lilikoi drink for anyone who enjoys Mezcal.

Every dish was unbelievably flavor-phenomenal & inspired. The hamachi crudo, wontons, A5 Miyazaki tenderloin 4oz wagyu, crispy potatoes and the dinuguan beef cheek. Insane, you can see why chef is a James Beard nominee.

The service at Animae was outstanding. I have a soy allergy (was there for a friend’s birthday so I had no say in the restaurant choice), and I knew as an asian style restaurant that half the menu would be off limits to me. Our server gave me my own menu with the items I couldn’t have crossed off. The extra time and effort he put into making sure I was informed of the safe items on the menu was so thoughtful. Additionally, as each food item was brought to our table, the food runners let me know whether it was allergen safe or not. This service was above and beyond and we were blown away by their concern and kindness. The food was amazing, and I will definitely be back!

Amazing food and service. Highly recommend the tuna crispy rice, short rib, and taiwanese chicken! Drinks were delicious too.

Great experience overall. Ambiance, music, service was solid. Appetizers were great and most of the food was delicious. The only disappointment was the steak, for specializing in steaks and for the price, it left room for improvement. Steak was undercooked below what was asked, it was returned to the kitchen, only to be brought back without much changed. Moreover, the steak’s flavor was bland and didn’t compare to the rest of the other dishes. Disappointed when it is one of the most expensive dishes on the menu. Also do not like tue added 4% surcharge to cover employee costs. This is something that should be factored into the overall price of the menu. Do not double charge or pass on more of the cost to the customers.
