This is a phenomenal restaurant! Everything from the beautifully-appointed decor to the fantastic menu was thoughtful and well-executed. The food exceeded my expectations. The tuna crispy rice started us off, and it was great. The crunch was delightful and the tuna was fresh and buttery. For our sides, we had some delicious veggies - the cucumbers and the broccolini. These accompanied our mains; we shared the Spiny Lobster Palabok and the Szechuan Spicy Seabass, both wonderful selections. The crown jewel was the Japanese A5 Wagyu Miyazaki Tenderloin. It was served with Banchan that included kimchi, cucumbers, and a dipping sauce that I believe was a Shiro Shoyu with an egg yolk - all very good. Perfect compliments to the steak. Dessert was an absolute act of seduction. We shared a few: the Buko Pandan, the Sakura Panna Cotta, and the Ube Profiteroles. They capped off our night with a gentle sweetness that wasn’t overwhelming. The desserts were beautiful to the eye and the palate. Overall a fantastic experience.

I have never experienced such great service; the staff were very accommodating with dietary restrictions and helped make the night special. The food was brilliant. This may be the best restaurant in SD.

First and foremost - the food was unique, creative and delicious! Cocktails outstanding. The room itself was loud and energetic. Somewhat odd choice of rather loud club music. Also very cold temperature wise. Service was sufficient but not warm or very engaged. Might return for appys and cocktails sitting bar side. Overall 4 out of 5 stars.

Always an amazing experience! They made our anniversary dinner an outstanding experience. The staff all wished us a happy anniversary and was very attentive to our needs. The food, wine, and drinks were all top notch!

We had a great dinner at Animae. There were 5 of us and we shared all items ordered. Our server was knowledgeable and provided helpful suggestions about the food and sake. Everything was really good and the bill was surprisingly reasonable. The only thing I would change is to lower the volume of the music a bit. The lighting was very low, but I don't mind that. The booths are perfect for 5 or 6 people.

Absolutely brilliant! Taiwanese chicken, wagyu fried rice, mushroom sisig, crispy potatoes, hunan lamb chops, coal roasted cabbage and pork tomahawk were all delicious, beautifully prepared and presented!

Tessa was a fabulous server as was her assistant Madeline. Our friends had not been before and were very excited. They absolutely LOVED it! Every dish was amazing. Terra did a great job making suggestions for food and a great wine pairing. The only issue is that it is too dark!!! You cannot see the artful food.

The ambiance is classy with a modern twist of hip. Everyone is very friendly and professional. The music is unexpected, but part of the experience and the food...the food is truly a master piece. They also have unique cocktails 🍸 and wines. Highly recommend! Great for dates, celebrating, or just to enjoy a nice dinner as we did.
