What is Bordeaux? What is the Right or Left Bank? I don't like Bordeaux wines as they taste like dirt or don't have enough fruit or too hard to drink... or simply too many options and too confusing. Good Bordeaux wines cost thousands of dollars and need to be aged a long time to be drinkable!  None of the above is correct although that has been many people's experiences- but it doesn't have to be. Our Bordeaux expert, literally and not just on paper because of his Sommelier certification, with vast relationships and experiences in Bordeaux, will guide us through an introduction to Bordeaux through a wine dinner where no bottle on a restaurant price list will be over ~$150 all expertly paired for a great evening!

Every year we are in Burgundy we look for real value of incredible wines- never relenting on quality for price. Hudelot Baillet, Henri Boillot & Domaine Anne et Herve Sigaut are just a sample of our recent love. First up, we will showcase Sigaut's portfolio. A 19th century estate with beautifully complex, fully structured in their youth with incredible primary flavors that can be paired with all types of food, not just delicate fish dishes (yes even steak!). Premier Crus from Chambolle-Musigny & Morey St Denis delivering flavors and structure from power & finesse to more masculine powerful darker fruit ... and with age you achieve some spicy leathery/truffle goodness- now pair those wines with an expertly crafted Six Course Wine Dinner!

What to do for Anhelo's birthday? Let's do what we do best and put together a wine event to give access to some of the best wines in the world. Start the night with Dom Perignon to wet the lips and get us in the mood! We will follow that up with Premier Cru White Burgs from Domaine Leflaive & Domaine Roulot, then fire out of the gate with a 2007 Domaine de la Romanee-Conti Romanee St Vivant Grand Cru, 2005 Chateau Latour, 2010 Chateau Lafite then domestic to bring us home with the OG Napa Cult, Colgin Cellars and Harlan's Promontory, both with about 10 years of age.
