The Anglesey Arms is nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Halnaker, renowned as a red-brick village favourite with both returning locals and fleeting visitors needing some respite. Our newly refurbished pub offers traditional country charm fused with a renovated contemporary finish throughout all our interiors and gardens. That's right... Enjoy dining at the Anglesey with a hint of Scottish heritage. Whether it's the classic - haggis, neeps and tatties or maybe even a haggis wellington, we will be providing a specially crafted menu just for this historical evening. Went there as a party of 3 for Sunday lunch the restaurant was warm and welcoming. The staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome from the moment you walked in to the moment you left. The food was amazing, good choice of meals, Good quality and nicely presented. We had no problem parking as there seemed to be plenty of spaces. Looking forward to returning Would highly recommend 😁

I chose the Anglesey Arms as a halfway point to meet up with some family members. I had no idea what to expect as we'd never visited the pub before. The weather was cold outside, so it was lovely to walk through the door into a cosy pub that oozed warmth and character. There were four of us and we all chose to have the Sunday roast, which was delicious, and the beef was perfect 👌. The staff were very busy as all the tables were full but they were still friendly and attentive. I'm already planning another catch-up with family at this lovely pub.

Had been recommended this place for a while now and, despite it being only 20 mins away, I’ve been yet to visit. However, I’m so glad I did book. The roasts were fantastic and there were definitely 4 clean plates at the end. Being overly critical, there was no crackling with the pork and the beef roast wasn’t particularly warm. But I’m being super picky here. We’ll be booking to come back!

We do apologise there was no crackling, unfortunately we don't serve our pork with crackling and I hope you raised the temperature issue at the time with a member of staff as we would've been more than happy to rectify this at the time. Only my second visit but still very lovely - really good food , a lovely atmosphere and good value .

Excellent quality main meal and pudding. The addition of the popular garlic bread would have been ideal, as an aside or starter? It was great being ablw to have a taster of different beers before deciding. Highly recommend this place.

We keep returning here as its the best and most consistent restaurant near us. The chicken schnitzel is always outstanding and the Dinner Club menu is very good value with a good choice.

Excellent food & service. My only complaint was it was very cold. Even the table next to us asked to be moved into the other part of the restaurant which was warmer. We would definitely return but probably not until there woodburners are working again.

Cosy relaxing surroundings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious food and good value . Steak and lamb were both amazing We will definitely be back !!
