The Anglesey Arms is nestled in the picturesque hamlet of Halnaker, renowned as a red-brick village favourite with both returning locals and fleeting visitors needing some respite. Our newly refurbished pub offers traditional country charm fused with a renovated contemporary finish throughout all our interiors and gardens. Really enjoy our visit. Food was fab except for one dish, the crispy beef salad wasn’t as good as it could have been. Large pieces of steak (nicely cooked), but not crispy & not enough glaze with chillies & sesame seeds omitted.

The crispy chilli beef was rare!!!!! There was nothing crispy about it it was soft and rare which is not how crispy chilli beef should be. The frittata was tiny and it should have come with a side salad but it was actually a garnish if a few water cress leaves onion and a few slivers of raffish. No cucumber or tomatoes or peppers or any kind of nice dressing

Very nice Sunday lunch , lovely place only let down bu the rustic gents toilets .

Was fortunate to be able to book a last minute table for 2, but this may have been because it was father's day as clearly there were a lot of group bookings. The Sunday roast was simply awesome. The staff were, as always, friendly and welcoming. It's great to see the Anglesey doing so well. Don't change anything, you've found the sweet spot!

Your Father’s Day lunch was lovely, one criticism was that your menu was a set price for starter and main then extra for dessert. We wanted main and dessert, so ended up with paying separately for main courses.

Lovely place, lovely decor and style in the front bar, garden and restaurant. We enjoyed our food and the only issue we had was the size of the portion of vegetables that came with the Shepherds Pie, it was a v small bowl/ramekin that was only half full...literally the smallest portion we'd ever seen and couldn't believe it could have been sent out as acceptable. We did question it and it was replaced with a good generous serving in a much larger bowl, but we were left incredulous that it could have been served in the first place. Our meals were tasty and we enjoyed our evening, always grateful to be in a position to eat out, and we do not like to complain, but this really was astonishing. Love the feel of this pub tho👏🏼👏🏼And the Guiness was great👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
